The Official #14 Tennessee @ #3 Georgia Game Thread, 3:30 PM ET, CBS

Um, Maurer was a TRUE FRESHMAN last year playing with a lesser talented line. His problem was he tried to lower his head and run like a fullback...he needs to learn the QB slide! If my humble analysis is correct, we haven’t seen anyone other than JG this year...I have no idea why.

Anyway, Mauer is MUCH faster than JG...both with his feet and his release. We shall see what happens in the next couple of games. As far as JG is concerned, making good decisions and protecting the ball only works...well, when you make good decisions and protect the ball...now we need to help the Oline, and the whole offense really, with nimble, quickness from the QB.

Very well said, some people don't seem to understand a freshman will make freshman mistakes. Do you think Pruitt would have let any of our back up qb remain in the game with the way jg played second half. He would have pulled any of other qb if they almost had a turnover, they didn't have to make one, just almost make one.

Uh before Pruitt you were not getting wins against those guys either. You have to have the talent to play with the Jimmys and Joes. We are not there yet but getting closer.

Go ahead and explain our offensive line then. Loaded with 5* and experience and we get manhandled. You don’t believe that reflects on coaching?

What’s our record against uga Florida and bama under Pruitt? Pruitt is what he is. If you are happy with wins over Vandy, Kentucky, and South Carolina then Pruitt is your guy!
This is an awful take. Look at what butch left him with. Get him a QB and I guarantee that changes

Cade Mays is getting his ass handed to him, consistently!
GBO!!
I’m going to rewatch this game with specific attention to the OL. I might chart it and do my own analysis. Of course with Georgia loading the box I place the blame on Chaney’s playcalling as much as I do the OL. Plus JG’s performance is the number reason for the 2nd half meltdown.

The original post still holds true. NO QB on our roster was gonna make a difference in that 2nd half with the way were being dominated up front.

Lol. It’s 3 games into year 3 during world pandemic. Chill bro

Are we the only ones playing during pandemic? Everyone is dealing with it, not just us so no excuse there. And yes, year 3 and we’re 0-7 against our rivals and still getting blown out. The staff also has that home loss to Georgia state on the resume! Progress!

Not everyone is playing during a pandemic. This is a glorified scrimmage year and nothing else. I’m glad we are at a point of wanting to fire Pruitt for losing to Georgia

You are right we have seen Maur play and he is more decisive with his decision making and he does extend plays longer so your statement is false. I don't need a QB to outrun the defense just prolong plays kinda like a Justin Burrow type. Injuries can occur at any time, if he was concerned I am sure Maur would quit.

You missed the point. He may be and do all those things. It was not helping us in 2nd half of this game. Period. Our oline got put on notice that they aren't as good as all the smoke being blown up their butts.

Watch Cade Mays. I must have said a 100:times today, who is 68? He’s getting beat a lot!

Really... They werent run stopping with DBs or OLB stopping inside runs and vice versa... Our OLine was tied up with the front 4.... Backs and line missed blocks on blitzes... We keep putting ourselves behind the sticks with illegal procedures and other mental things.... So it was a team O fail... Defense got the raw deal.... But did bust coverage a few scores. Believe me... I called out his mistakes but it was far from being all him.... Or mainly him....

You can't be serious. Do your remember the score beginning the 3rd qtr. We were up on ga, then the jg turnovers, that was the change in the game. not one to, but 4, and if i am not mistaken all 4 of the turnovers netted points for ga, and its not all on him? Jg played decent the first half, but the 2nd was terrible.

We need to shake this loss off move on. I'm shocked at our nonexistent running game today. The difference in talent level is just mindboggling to me. I was hopeful our OL was going to perform but nobody showed up to play ball. WE DO have talent on the OL!!! Beginning to think Pruitt ain't the answer. Vol till I die.
