The Official #11/#9 Tennessee @ Florida Game Thread, 7:00 PM ET, ESPN

We look like garbage at halftime. Get ready for an epic comeback for the ages on the second half. Coach is in no way dumb just because we're down 19 at the half. It's gonna be ok. Our guys are pissed and getting yelled at right now. They're gonna come out clicking on all cylinders and smash these tricky little turds.

This was always the way this game was going to go. And this season really. Milton is a terrible quarterback. He doesn’t make accurate throws and isn’t athletic enough to pick up first downs running. If you don’t do both of those two things… You’re just not going to have a good team. And people are going to blame it on the office of line, the Defense, etc.… It all begins and ends with quarterback play. I don’t know how someone as intelligent as Heupel can’t recognize what most of our fans could see. But he can’t. We were going to have to be embarrassed at least once maybe two or three times before he plays Nico.

It is what it is. I’m fine with starting Nico and playing conservative to protect him. We aren’t winning this game but he’s the future.

I don’t see Florida holding on every play or playing dirty, but they have gotten away with some holds and blocks to the back on 3rd downs. Enough of my wining though; we are not a good team right now. Our ceiling is 7 wins.

5th year in major college football and still doesn’t get it. Love Joe’s attitude and patience, but he’s a backup at best.

You put him in this game, behind that line, good chance he ends up at UF Hospital

And you could destroy his confidence beyond repair when you need him to be the guy starting next year
Agree 100%. Put in the 3rd stringer or Navy Shuler. Don't let Nico come in to this mess. Get out of Florida without any injuries. At this point its not worth it.

I remember a couple years ago when some of us on here posited that if Milton couldn't do it in his senior year, he wasn't going to magically suddenly get it in year five or six, and that it was bad coaching to trot him out there just because of his arm strength. And of course we got excoriated and told how little we knew about football.

I really wanted to be wrong. But I also said back then that a coach that would recruit Milton to come here, and play him over the other QBs we had on the roster, might not be the great coach we were being told he was.

Of course some of us also said that a coach who would hire Martinez and Banks, and stick with them in spite of the defense continuing to look like crap and play with no fundamentals or sense or heart year after year, might not be the right coach.

I wanted so much to be wrong, and believe that maybe finally our inept, criminally negligent administration and boosters had stumbled into a good hire. They haven't.

agree. He is the future. this is who we have this season, like it or not. I don't think people realize how a play book is made, organized, used in practice and switching qbs now would tank tenn for a year because there are only a handful of plays (12 ish) in the play book for Nico if he were put in now and it takes weeks to tweak or add plays for a switch to nico.
Wait a minute??? You mean Heup ain’t just drawing up plays with a stick in the dirt?
