3-0[/QUOTE

The level of play from this team makes sense. I finally saw an interview of his. I believed him when he said he and his staff were looking out for the Player’s best interest. He also said that should be the standard for anyone involved with the Player’s development.

I like his style.

For those who watched on tv --

did you notice the Commentators mentioned 'wasted throw to first' (with home-run hitting batter at plate / up by 3) , and then just afterwards we picked off the runner.

That was Huge then, and huge for every watchful opponent moving forward this season.

Hope we complete yet another sweep today, especially hope that our Sunday starter looks in control from first pitch to last no matter the score. You have to deal with the breaks and where players are on their individual trendlines too. Blade's progression is encouraging, and HOPEFULLY Dollander's injury and recovery is a best case scenario.

I especially wish to leave them with a wonderful memory of a sweep in the first three games at their newly christened ballpark. Timing can go from BAD to HORRIBLE today. At best the word associated with a win for them today is SALVAGE. I will have to listen to the first part of the game on my return from church and I cannot seem to record the internet broadcasts on my Xfinity On Demand programming, but love having TV access to this team this year. Hoping the return of T.V. to TV is a karma thing.

Yes, he said “wasted throw” several times, and then the pickoff. Those guys never mentioned how wrong they were.

Ok, I thought that's the word he used (wasted).

Situation: homerun hitter at plate, man with big-lead on first

a. a bad throw to 1st yields only the runner to/on 2nd (same hitter still at plate, and the same potential 2-run max homer IF homerun) ; but,

b. a pickoff yields only a 1 run max homer (if homerun).

This one might be a very good example of the details that have yielded the 36-3 start (and some of these Commentators can't even see it, yet).

As I recall, both (or 3 total) of those pickoff attempts were spot-on at the baseground (not wasted).

'wasted comment' is more like it.

Don't reckon I have much chance agin these fellers but what the hell....

GBO!!

Great win last night! Both Blade and Camden had outstanding performances, and our defense was stout (those plays by Jorel were impressive!).

Sprout had a great night pitching for Florida, but the mistakes he made were costly, and we took advantage. Timely hits and HRs when we needed them.

Our offense has gotten much attention, and deservedly so, but our pitching staff also has been elite and shined bright last night. We are truly blessed with depth on both sides.

And all this with Drew Beam starting today and Coach V’s return from suspension. We are in a good spot heading into the series finale. Time to go for the sweep!
