One thing I have never understood and never will is why when a top team loses the opposing fans yell overrated, all your doing is diminishing your teams win by admitting the other team isn’t as good as advertised so it’s no big deal

Tennessee needed to play flawless and with dominance against one team, Kensucky. Couldn't do it. Couldn't do it. It's going to be very hard to recover respect. Now they have to win out to ever get a one seed because the weak schedule will hold them back now. They needed to prove everyone wrong.

UK enjoyed a magical night, to be sure. Huge home crowd and still smarting from an upset loss, they had lots to prove. And boy, did they!

None of this means that Tennessee can’t or won’t be having that kind of game themselves sometime when they need one. And in the NCAA Tournament, we all know that anything can happen there.

I trust our guys to learn from this loss.

We were down two starters with five minutes to go right after we got some momentum going.

I like JB. He’s a tough competitor and great for this team. But I’ve seen almost every game and he does turn the ball over more often than I’d like with his bounce passes trying to get it inside.

We needed a wake up call. We've been coasting for a month now.

We looked like a tired team. Getting everyone's absolute best game for a month has to wear you down. And we have never experienced that level of sustained success before. We'll regroup and get hungry again. Might lose another one or two. But that's not a bad thing. Just my 2 cents.

Is it fatigue or is it simply that UT has been coasting against lackluster competition? They faced step up in competition tonight and simply weren't up for it. This team needs to find that spark and return to the intense defense we saw earlier this year. I really think they got a bit full of themselves during this run as #1. Maybe this whipping will open some eyes and ears for Barnes.

I can't answer that. I have said even before this game from watching ky play several games; the best way to beat ky is a good zone defense. And I still believe that, pack it in and make them beat you with jump shots. Man to man and they gona kill you inside.
