The Official “Regular Posters of the Basketball Forum” Thread

I know some here hate BP but having read and heard him talk recently (talking about serious matters and not basketball) I think BP may be feeling a much higher calling than a basketball coach.
I’m just gonna assume based on what I’ve previously known about Bruce that when you say “higher calling” that you’re not talking about a newfound religiosity.

The Lord does work in mysterious ways, but that would be a shock.

I'd say as a personal goal he probably would like to become the all-tine winningest coach at Tennessee, surpassing Ray Mears. He's roughly 40 games away from that record. Being the winningest coach at two major universities like Tennessee and Texas would be a nice capstone to a long career. Hopefully he adds a national title to it, too.
Man, you really think this is his last year?

(46 wins shy, which ruins it)

What about my post gives you the idea that I believe it's his last year? I'm confused. I'm just speculating on his own personal goals.

Yes, it absolutely could be...I think you have to approach each season like it could be his last at his age.

I thought he might hang it up with ZZ and Shack leaving, but since he didn't, you just take it year by year. In order to achieve the winningest Tennessee coach title, he'd obviously have to stick around at least two years and have a good deal of success. Barring a down season, I really think he's in for at least two more seasons, now.

It’s that time of year again where we start to glaze Kentucky in the off-season before they have to play real teams and get exposed.

UK fans think a lot of their roster. I don't get it. They added some decent players and kept Oweh, but I was less than impressed with their portal haul. They got none of the players they initially pursued.

I have heard great things about the team right now. We are going to be a nightmare team for the SEC...

In other news, I had a wild dream that Stephen A Smith was cutting hair at my local barber shop. Charging 500 USD for a fade.. I had 300 and a stack of signed wrestling photos that I traded for a cut...

Wild times to be alive.

What a waste of good wrestling photos... and $299 of hard earned money.

Sounds more like a nightmare. haha
