Omer Mayer (Purdue Boilermakers): Mayer, a highly skilled 18-year-old guard and top international prospect, committed to Purdue for the 2025–26 season. He is a proven scorer and playmaker with experience in Israel's top league and international FIBA competition, where he excelled at the U18 European Championship.

Ron Zipper (LSU Tigers): Zipper, a 6-foot-5 guard, will join the LSU men's basketball team for the 2025–26 season. He has played professionally in Israel and stood out in FIBA U18 and U20 competitions, winning a silver medal. Known for his three-point shooting, he will bring international experience to the Tigers.

Didn’t know that about Sharp. He is a darn good player. Imagine if that’s what Burg can be for us.

I suspect that it’s less that Poland is particularly inhospitable and more that the global environment has gotten riskier so any high-profile event needs precautions.

But maybe also poland is rough? That part of the world doesn’t exactly have a sterling history…

However, the reason for the concern is due to a Polish aid worker being killed in Gaza via an Israeli airstike last year and the ensuing dialogue between both countries' leadership.

I actually went to Poland for the first time last year for a week, one of my best friends married a Polish girl. Was really nice. Did not see Warsaw, was in mostly rural areas

My comment about that region’s history was more about their shared border with Germany. I wasn’t aware of the incident with the aid worker.
