I saw this today in connection with the Adidas deal.

I was thinking about that as well. I feel like they’re probably decent, but I don’t remember Israel winning a lot of international tournaments or anything.Fair, but even Plavsic was on his national team. Not gonna pretend to know the skill level of the Israeli national team, so not sure if they’re head and shoulders better lol
I know virtually nothing about this question, and I certainly hope for the best, but to me you make a strong counterpoint, given the high quality of basketball played in Serbia and the former Yugoslav republics generally.Fair, but even Plavsic was on his national team. Not gonna pretend to know the skill level of the Israeli national team, so not sure if they’re head and shoulders better lol

I don’t really think there’s much of a difference there, since Burg is coming in as a 23 year old.He made the team before his time at UT? I know he did after he graduated.
And he graduated as a starter, on a top 25 team.
Now yeah, Serbia is obviously better than Israel historically. But guard is a more competitive position regardless of country. Cause you don’t have to be 6”9+
Israel has also been rapidly improving from a basketball perspective. There have been multiple 1st rounders from Israel in the last few years.
All that to say, I’m pretty high on Burg. But we’ll just have to see.
