My mom, who is the nicest person in the world, said after the game yesterday that she couldn't believe how bad our o-line was and that she could at least get in the way for longer than some of these guys block. Unfortunately, I think she is out of eligibility!

I hate this for Worley. He could be putting up some solid numbers. He needs to change his status from pro-style to dual threat if he wants to live to see 22.

I don't think it's reasonable to expect a big improvement between year 4 (RS Jr) and 5. A mobile QB with an arm could make these guys look better but I don't know that we'll have one of those to plug in as a starter next year. It's been a good while since I traded a barb on this board and most of the folks that I used to trade them with are long since banned or disappeared. I post my opinion and some people who disagree with it don't seem to have the ability to respond with anything other than an insult. I'm used to it. After all, this is a state that regularly ranks in the bottom 20% for educational attainment (fact. not insult).

I completely agree with this. He's been knocked around so much that even when he gets decent protection he sometimes looks like he's running from perceived pressure that isn't there.

You know, regardless of the mistakes our QB has made this year he is all Vol...he has taken a beating over and over and he gets back up and gets under center. I'm proud of that.

How big of a concern is it that they are going the wrong way.

Many of those VN posters who were stating before the season that ole miss was a win, without looking at the quality of their players, can see now we need to fear for JW's safety. Ole miss has pulled in good recruiting classes, and as a percentage of population I believe I read last year the state of Mississippi produces more D1 players than any state. (Not total number of D1 prospect for some of the mathematically challenged, but based on the small population of the state vs Ga, Fl, or Tx for example) So getting the top talent in state ( ole miss and miss state ) works (just as a side bar here) to build a program. So why anyone thought with as young a team as we have going to Oxford against a older, more physically developed team that was a preseason dark horse behind bama and the barn to win the west was ever an easy victory for us is beyond me. Let's all hope the football gods are smiling on us next week, hopefully "TERRIBLE" Bo shows up, they are overlooking us for LSU the next week and the flu strikes them this week and maybe we have a chance. That is why you play the games we have both won and lost games that "on paper" we should not have. Whatever the outcome next week I hope JW is healthy and everyone else and bad OL play or not I will root for the Vols next game, including the OL. We have to play the cards dealt us including the OL and all the bit€#in on here is not going to change a thing. Remember whenever the season ends we will be going through withdrawal like an addict.

I would like to thank Antonio "Tiny" Richardson for leaving school and turning pro after only 3 years. This unselfish act will give the Vols young line more time to work together as a unit. Besides that, a left tackle isn't that important anyway. I mean how many times can your qb get blindsided ?

I blame no one who is trying to go get paid especially in football. Any down can be your last. It's not Tinys fault our line is terrible.

They better find a way to get the ball out of Worley's hands fast next week. We may not see a first down for 60mins against Ole Miss's defensive front.

Regardless of whether we believe coaching or youth is to blame for our offensive line woes, there's really no reason we should be getting pushed around by Chattanooga. And it seems like it would have been a perfect opportunity to get a look at some different bodies.

I saw sanders and pair at one point. Move Kendrick back to lt maybe try sanders at rt something has to be done at this point. I love coach Jones but not doing anything is plain stupid there is no possible way the backups could be any worse. The fact that they are getting beat by a fcs De repeatedly is an absolute joke.

Freak I really think we are seeing the best options we have available right now. Given the level of development I am seeing from our "best option," I don't know that it wouldn't be outright irresponsible to put those deemed to be behind what we have on the field into a game.

Yes, backups got in the game, but if they haven't played yet this year or are a rd candidate, they aren't going to burn a red shirt on nooga.

Freak...thanks to your Offensive Play recording^^^ it's pretty easy to go play by play and watch the technique (or lack thereof) of our current o-line...watching them closely...it's scary how undisciplined, mechanically poor and general lackadaisically participatory many on the o-line are play by play...

They seem to be real good at rushing over to help pick up Worley though *thumbs up*
