How so? Although i was being sarcastic, about Mahoney actually telling OL that, it's beyond me why its not coached into these kids to finish blocks or at least try to. Game after game this is clear. It's on CBJ. It really is on Mahoney.
But, whatever...ignore(most may). I don't post for likes or agreement, just conversation.
So why do you think that, game after game, the OL thinks "yeah you are getting by me,SACK.. I'm going to help Worley get up"? Is it just youth and inexperience?
By all means, I am no expert. Mental aspect is the key on everything in everyday life and football is no different. I am seriously concerned about our o-line after today performance. Already shell shocked o-line, gave up 5.5 sacks against a FCS team and these guys are going to face arguably the best d-line rotations in the SEC next week. It may get real ugly next week, I am not talking about scoreboard, but player safety concern in our QB position.
Agreed...totally. What does it say about the staff's ability to evaluate recruits and develop them, when you have two 4* OL signees (Blair and Austin Sanders) sitting on the bench, in favor of two true freshmen who are getting beat with great regularity? This offensive line has got worse...........and I don't understand for the life of me on why Wiseman and Blair are not playing...........but CBJ's problem is he is trying to coach/play for the future (next year) but he should be playing them now..........These guys that are playing have not and will not develop anymore.........
Seemed like a few times Worley got up after getting clobbered/blindisided after one of the OL got flat-out manhandled...and wanted to lay into his OL. But, he bit his tongue.Exactly! Nothing is worth anyone getting paralyzed, It's getting serious. Defenseless QB getting hit hard countless times?? At some point, it's not about W/L.
We are 1/2 way thru the season with SECw teams up next. It's bad. It's on coaching.

Every single sack or QB pressure is more condemnation of Mahoney's job as an OL coach. If this trend continues, I just don't see how you risk bringing him back for another year.
Cause it put's his abilities into question, and if it's a question mark now, CBJ has his whole staff and team behind the 8-ball next season....when he finds out that the answer is...Mahoney really does suck.
They are the least athletic line I've ever seen. They look really slow and uncoordinated. I truly worry about Worley's health. Ole Miss will seriously hurt him if they don't play better. For that matter, can't they teach them to hold instead of giving guys a straight shot at Worley?
/I played SS in high school and wrestled..moved to LA and train BJJ and been fortunate to have the opportunity to roll with some really high level guys. In the fight sport it is one on one....just like Butch says...gotta win the one on one match ups...and if that guy across from you starts getting the best of you and you can't overcome it...it gets in your head...you lose.
Surely a self appointed bad @$$ like you know that from your Pop Warner days.
