Still owning bammer. Self-inflicted wounds do not temper my feelings.

However, we're talking about the trend that we've owned them. And we've owned them when they had bad coaches. Now they have a good one. The trend will change.

Watch out for South Carolina. You laugh now you just watch and see. Spurrier is a winner, as much as I hate him he's a winner. He will win at South Carolina.

good for Bama. and good for UT as well. maybe now the complacency that led to the 5-6 season and this year's poor showing in the Outback bowl will be dealt with once and for all.
It's clear now that UT needs a new DC. Someone who'll actually teach his players how to hit hard and wrap up.

You know they played football before they joined the SEC, right? And you may want to check the heisman records to compare SC and UT. Lastly, I would put the SC fan base for football up against just about anybody, including bamer - those people are crazy.

All I'm saying is, the Orange sky is not falling. Bamer is not becoming a great team next year.

Yeah, but tell me South Carolina's bowl history before they joined the SEC...

Anyone catch the Jets Dolphins game last week when they talked to Don Shula and he slammed Bama about the firing of his lil' boy now Saban said preciate ya Dolphins to Bama.

Vicious Cycle.

I think you all give Saban too much credit and the UT staff too little. I swear, it's like Chicken Little or something on here.

This is really really bad news... the more I think about things, the more I realize good coaches succeed more often than not. Combine good coach with tradition and comparable or better talent... 'bama will likely own us.

Tenn has plenty of tradition too...and talent to boot. I don't know if a coaching change is the answer but CPF does seem to have lost some of his fire.

C'mon, South Carolina doesn't even begin to compare with Bama in terms of facilities, fan bases, financial resources, etc. Yeah, given their lack of success of the years, South Carolina fills up the stadium but they're still well below Bama even in its current state. Living in Charlotte, NC I have to put with enough of SC fan's delusions but I don't think many of them would put themselves on the same level as Bama.

And if Heismann's mean anything, then the SEC as a whole is pretty much a joke since the conference as a group has the same number of winners as OSU and ND individually.

You are correct, and he needs to find that fire. Being a better strategist and field general wouldn't hurt either.

Hey Tidwell, you will not see high and mighty from me. UT and AU has owned us for the past decade!! Yes we got a great coach, but that has to translate to the field. We have lots of work to do before we can be better than alot of teams in the SEC at this point.

Also for the record the Owner of Miami Dolphins gave Saban his blessings to go to Bama.

I am a Dolphins fan and I say good riddance to Saban. He didn't know what the hell he was doing in the pros. If he doesn't get Bama an SEC championship in the next year or 2, they will want to get rid of him and he will run from there too. I used to have respect for the guy, but not anymore. He is a quitter. :bad:

Well if you hear it, it must be payback! You wont hear it from me, but I will tell you I hear UT CRAP ALLLLLLLLLLL the time so you guys are not innocent to say the least. Agreed?

He took 32M GUARANTEED to coach Bama for what, two or three years? I don't blame him, but Bama had to pay that much and guarantee it to get him to take the job. That speaks a lot to the prestige of the Bama HC job nowadays.

holy crap fellas. i'm not exactly excited about the prospect of playing Richt, Spurrier, Saban and Meyer Every year either....but jeez. this is kind of ridiculous....

He will fit in well at Bama, until the Bama fans realize that he isn't Bear Bryant and then get rid of him too.

Another great coach (Saban) to have to beat (or should I say try to beat).:banghead2:

All fan bases are obnoxious but none have the "birthright" mentality of Bama fans. That and the "whole world is against us" mentality really drives me nuts.
