The nerve of some of these so-called fans

Shut up piss ant. This thread is about me and others like me. People who are catching grief for being realistic about what is happening right now. There are people, like me, who didn't want Schiano, but we wouldn't stoop to slandering the man to keep him out. We love the program too, but we wouldn't embarrass the school and fan base by making such uninformed, irrelevant claims. We don't deserve to be bad-mouthed and told to "get out" for agreeing with the overwhelming majority of people who have a take on this program.

So yes. This is about me, and others like me. So sick of the same damn threads over and over again.
You've convinced me....GTFO piss ant!!!

See. Another dumb ass, incorrect response. This seems to be the norm here lately. I have actually stated several times that I was not in favor of hiring him, but we could have done worse. Just because people actually don't agree with slandering a guy and making up lies about him, does not mean that we wanted him hired.

If he was slandered, then he should've sued the individual who slandered him under oath.

It is not the job of our university to rescue the reputation of an individual who chose to remain relatively silent while he was being accused in this manner.

If Tennessee were to have hired him, then the Sandusky crimes would have been tied to Tennessee by the association with Schiano by the same national media protecting this idiot now.

Let him regain his reputation somewhere else. Never at Tennessee.

What made up lies? If you mean him witnessing a molestation then that wasn't made up. It may not be true but a man claimed he was told it happened under oath. If it didn't that sucks but people had zero time to wait or vet the guy and the Washington Post reporting a potential horrendous act was frightening. I don't think he did it but nobody truly knows and he had a hell of a lot of other terrible things said about him by former players and coaches. Btw it wasn't just fans reacting that way.

Oh and saying they were irrelevant claims is just dumb. Irrelevant potential molestation cover-up?

I'm with you maxxx. I was embarrassed by the actions the fans took Sunday. While they think they helped the program, they actually set us back.
I'm with both of you. It's a shame a person has to be subjected to bullying on this site for stating a rational opinion..

Schiano was the worst possible hire. He's a more arrogant Butch and we dodged a massive bullet. I can promise you whoever we end up with will be night and day better than Schiano.

The Volnation is tired of being pissed on and being told it's rain. Anyone but Schiano

To question me as a supporter of the program, and suggest that I "get off the site". Go F yourselves. Don't be salty because others don't view the program from a slanted point of view. My father was one of the first African Americans to play in this program. I grew up bleeding UT orange. To have these goofballs question my support because I look at things objectively is the main reason why soooo many outside of the program don't respect the program.
These so called fans are the main reason UT is being roasted nationally and not toasted nationally.

Wrong brother, Currie forced the fans hand. They tried to sneak an unworthy and unpalatable (for a number of reasons), coach past boosters and fans. That was the dumbest move by an AD I've ever seen given the fanbase thought we were swinging for the fences. They bring a seriously flawed coach who runs his teams in a similar fashion to Butch which is exactly what this team doesn't need. A questionable record that is the epitome of pedestrian.

The AD appeared to be completely tone deaf and made a horrible mistake not floating coaches to the fanbase to prepare them. This embarrassment is 110% on the AD, they are paid to be very smart and savvy but in this case there are high school students with more PR, marketing and sales skills than Currie. He has proven he is incompetent, calling him a dolt would be generous.

Get out of here with your self righteous BS.

This guy gets it. Could care less about his coaching. I do not want that skid mark Sandusky associated with my alma mater. I don’t want the damn water boy from that era associated with my alma mater!!

The fact that Schiano is a ****ty coach is just added to the starting basis.

You should be proud our fanbase doesn't want to accept a ****ty ass HC and a scumbag whether the Penn St stuff is true or not. He's literally just Butch Jones 2.0 and if you can't see that then I am sorry. :thud:

You should be embarrassed that you posted this. The fans finally used their voice for once and you bash it? You have chosen the side of people like Haslam and Currie.

I wouldn't slander the man Maxxx and believe that there is virtually no evidence to support the phobia against him . That being said , he crapped the bed at TB and by no means should have been in the top 10 targets , let alone top 2. The fan base did him a favor . The opposing staffs would have destroyed him on the recruiting trail ...by slandering him

There's no doubt that if I'd have purashed stock in straw men Sunday morning I'd be a rich man today.

Who the hell are you and why should we care?

This is a message board.

What would his lawsuit consist of? Your Honor, the person we are suing for one million dollars said under oath that somebody told him that my client Greg Schiano experienced a similar situation to what happened the person we are suing several years before. Now, he stated that the person who told him didn't go into any detail, but.....well......What in the hell could you possibly get out of a lawsuit like that, other than a big legal bill?

The fact that you are on here defending Schiano speaks volumes. I dont care who you say your daddy was or how much money you say you give. The legions of Tennessee fans are getting tired of being dicked around by a loser administration that takes us for granted. We used our voice for the first time and it worked. As a fan, I would rather go winless for a decade than have a scum like Schiano as a coach for Tennessee.

Your damn reputation...unless you were afraid something else would come out when McQueary's lawyers questioned you.

Given the tendency of Penn State grads and friends to protect any and all tied to Joe Paterno and Jerry Sandusky, I will give far more credence to McQueary's sworn statement than to the words of a trustee engaged in a reclamation project.

I'm with you. McQueary is the only guy associated with PSU during that time that I'd trust.

People knew what was up and didn't say anything to protect themselves, PSU football, and JoePa.
