The nerve of some of these so-called fans

To question me as a supporter of the program, and suggest that I "get off the site". Go F yourselves. Don't be salty because others don't view the program from a slanted point of view. My father was one of the first African Americans to play in this program. I grew up bleeding UT orange. To have these goofballs question my support because I look at things objectively is the main reason why soooo many outside of the program don't respect the program.
These so called fans are the main reason UT is being roasted nationally and not toasted nationally.

Cry me a river! Who are you?

I'm with you. McQueary is the only guy associated with PSU during that time that I'd trust.

People knew what was up and didn't say anything to protect themselves, PSU football, and JoePa.

Exactly. And frankly I really don’t even want him again simply due to association. But at least he stood up and is defendable.

More than a simple weak ass “ I didn’t do that” twitter remark. SMDH....

I'm with you maxxx. I

You are delusional if you think Volnation, or any other fan message board had anything to do with events on Sunday. This was pure and simple a knock-down, drag-out between big boosters. Ergen, and other big boosters revolted against the Haslams, who double-crossed them on a deal to sign Jon Gruden.

Best, it reset the power structure of giant donors toward those who actually love UT sports. Us peons played a marginal, at best, role in the events.

McQueary won his lawsuit against Penn State.

Meanwhile Schiano has been proven to be a liar regarding his use of cameras to spy on his own players and the impact of the MRSA outbreak on Bucs players who were afflicted with it.

The fact that you are on here defending Schiano speaks volumes. I dont care who you say your daddy was or how much money you say you give. The legions of Tennessee fans are getting tired of being dicked around by a loser administration that takes us for granted. We used our voice for the first time and it worked. As a fan, I would rather go winless for a decade than have a scum like Schiano as a coach for Tennessee.

Do you honestly believe that the fans were the reason the administration backed out? I dunno how I feel about that interpretation

Shut up piss ant. This thread is about me and others like me. People who are catching grief for being realistic about what is happening right now. There are people, like me, who didn't want Schiano, but we wouldn't stoop to slandering the man to keep him out. We love the program too, but we wouldn't embarrass the school and fan base by making such uninformed, irrelevant claims. We don't deserve to be bad-mouthed and told to "get out" for agreeing with the overwhelming majority of people who have a take on this program.

So yes. This is about me, and others like me. So sick of the same damn threads over and over again.

Newsflash. The court sealed document wasn't from Vol fans. Vol fans simply found it online. Not to mention players hated him in Tampa or his barely .500 record at Purdue.

If your going to come on Volnation and call people piss ants you should have the balls to tell us who you are.

We just had a self inflicted mortal wound and these people are waltzing around like nothing happened. Sad and scary.

And another thing maxx, if you give so much money I'm sure you know the brass. Call them and let them know the 102,455 full stadium is about to be empty on Saturdays if they don't push the (old money-if this includes you so be it) academic boosters out of the FB program.

We pack that stadium every damn home game buying $8 hot dogs and $6 cokes and we have idiot boosters trying to run the football team like they know better than the coach.

The problem is when someone says something you don't like you curse them or call them names.

Sunday and Monday you were referring Vol fans in a bad way........calling US names and dragging US through the mud.

The problem with that is............there are hundreds of thousands of Vol fans.......and only a few did thing's to which YOU were lumping all of us with.

Most Vol fans expressed their discontent simply be saying "no Greg".....or bringing up his integrity issues in the NFL, and other things......some fans brought up the alleged pedophile stuff and even stated it prob isnt true, but they still wanted no part of it.........mostly because Tennessee is getting over rape lawsuits.

Sure there were people acting stupidly.......but you came on here and trashed us........and by us you were trashing all of us........and even now you keep cursing and keep name calling.

What in the world kind of response do you expect to get?

If you're gonna sling poo you should at least get Schiano's previous coaching job correct ....

Well Haslam and Currie wanted Schiano. The fans didnt. Schiano wasnt hired. What do you think?

I thought some big money or political power influenced the call, possibly because of concerns with the PSU situation. I am a cynic. I believe the ppl have almost no power, and when they protest its almost proof of it (unless its a revolution or a boycott). I believe nobody who makes decisions honestly thinks it would be a good idea to let fans decide who the next coach is, especially if a committee agreed on an evaluated talent. I believe someone got to Beverly before she signed the MOU, and a convenient story was listening to the fans. But like I said, I am a cynic.

This is exactly what I am talking about. EVERY TIME someone says something you don't like you start cursing them..........do you have ANY class? Are you really a Vol talking to EVERYONE like this?

Man grow up and act like a decent human. Sure people pizz us off all the time.......but respond and prove them wrong....when you act like this it makes everyone think the worst......not in the other guy.....but in you.

Schiano was just not what we needed. Title IX, rape allegations, and two show cause coaches. I'd say no to Franklin and petrino too. On top of the Penn st stuff (false imo), he has lied multiple times about health of players, and sideline spying. We need stability. This would have been a dumpster fur if one bad thing happened, or when the Johnson case comes up locally.

Currie butchered the process...... Schiano's name popping up at the last minute..... the Washington Post article that pops up when you google his name..... years of frustration and a lack of support from the admin..... it was the perfect storm. I like the fact the Vols fans came together, but some dragging Schiano through the mud was a little much IMO.

And the majority of the Ath Dept. Boosters and influential people landed on which side of this fight?

The fans stood up, but the heavy lifting for putting this down was handled by those above.

Agreed. His name being attached to that is good enough reason to not make the call to begin with.

Maybe you wanted some likes for this? Glad you got some. Maybe you should post this in the thread addressing whoever made you mad. And people don't respect the program because we have idiots running it.

The self inflicted wound is the Haslems and their hand pick puppets. This isn't their first botched hire and it won't be the last until there gone.

Like who? Who,in your opinion has more influence than Haslam and Currie?
