LOL. I grew up with (and still use), "y'all" -- a bona fide contraction for "you all" and which I thought was as Southern as you could get.
Then at UT, I was friends with a couple of guys from up around the Boone, NC, area whose drawl was even slower than mine and who said "You'ns." That one was new to me.

Regardless, I agree IF Fromm goes pro. Sounds like he will and they are apparently very thin at that position and are undergoing some other attrition. If that happens, Missouri, Georgia and Florida will all be playing with new QBs. I think Bentley might go pro which would certainly help. He already had a scare last year and then came back to put up over 500 yards of offense against the national champ, nearly dethroning them.

Then you have JG returning for his senior year behind a RIDICULOUS amount of depth on OL and a respectable amount of DL experience if they all return. There will be something like 12 Senior linemen between the O & D. Then all of the guys behind them.

Then, if Chandler comes back... we will maul people. We can get it done with Jordan and Banks if Banks learns to hold onto the rock which I am confident he will. Gray is supposed to be looking really good as well. Anyone else?

Then we have the two sophomores corners everyone is associating as a strength of our D this year. We had the same showing at corner with Martin during BJ’s tenure I think and then a dropoff, but as of now, these kids look like the real deal. They will be Juniors and have more depth behind them with hopefully equally as good of talent.

I am not as versed on the safeties or LBs, but I am hearing we are solid there. Would love a breakdown from someone there and at linebacker. D Taylor will graduate and go pro. That will be a huge loss. I would hope Crouch is a strength by year 2. Ignont will be a senior and came on nicely is sophomore year. Bituli will be gone and we will miss our two year in a row leading tackler. Other than that, not sure what’s what? Peterson RSed, but he is expected to be pretty good by next year no? Jordan Allen is a 4star RS sophomore, but hasn’t taken a snap. Story on him? Tootoo will be a sophomore and could shine but we just don’t know. Will D Johnson or Shannon Reid come on stronger this year? Roman Harrison or Deuschamp could flash potential, but they are Freshman. Doesn’t look like Humphrey is turning into anything we are using on gameday. Nothing on Page, Shuler, Ballard and numerous others that I know of. So, educate me.

Kicking game?

I think we have some depth behind DWA that should be able to fill the void his going pro will create.

The the only hole see is losing Callaway and Jennings. Who else do we miss next year and who can fill those shoes. I can’t imagine not getting a 5 star receiving crew if JG looks good this year knowing that spot is up for grabs with Chaney at the Helm, a ridiculously deep OL and two departing seniors.

Let’s hope our fans who are expecting this to be Pruitt’s year don’t chase our staff away. We need them to stay put. Like them or not, had Butch’s initial staff stayed in place, I think we would have been in the Playoffs Dobbs’ senior year. Not playing Hurd wherever he wanted to be played was foolish. Is what it is. We need this staff to stay put at least one more year. Year 5 for Pruitt looks really good too.

This year and year 4 for Pruitt are building years we have a shot at having 6-7 win records. I am fine with 6 wins as long as we play teams close this year, and beat Vandy and Kentucky. Anything beyond that, we should be very happy with those two years.

The funny thing about "next year" is that I've lived all over the country and have heard that literally everywhere. The difference is we've actually been correct a few times. Many programs can't even say "remember when".

In general, every state's populace believe their weather is the craziest , their football team's year is coming up, and 'people always move away but end up coming back'.

Trust me, there's very few things better than dawning orange, and taking in a college football weekend in east Tennessee. It won't be next year, but once again, we will be on top.
