Back on Butch.....I'm encouraged by his energy for in state recruiting. I know he can't rely on just the thin in state talent but don't let what's there leave.

Well gents, I personally would like to see CLH get a deal and stay on. I don't think I'm ready to chance someone else at the helm. Joerger, i bet is gonna be a fine coach in the NBA, and would hate to lose him, but CLH is proven. Quirky .....yes, but keep in mind, according to what's been said, the new regime came in , made their moves without consulting CLH. They should have given a bit more respect to him than they did. IMO
And............ please keep Wroten in the damn doghouse ! He needs to get his playing time in practices ! You earn PT !!!!! And that's the rest of the story !

Hollins wouldn't give Wroten any playing time in the regular season and then just suddenly throws him out to the dogs a few times in the playoffs.

My opinion on ZBO.......
Everybody's ready to ship ZBO out. Well we better get someone who will demand the ball, do the dirty work around the basket, banging and rebounding. I wouldn't trade Mark G for any big man in the league, but he ain't selfish enough and ain't gonna get in their and GRIND like ZBO. They are a perfect fit playing together and finding some outside shooting is gonna be the difference. ZBO looked bad against the Spurs, but he was double and triple teamed the entire series. Hell, I couldn't have done much better! (hehe) That's all I got folks !

Young players need experience. Popovich is great with that. He doesn't mind playing younger players and letting them go through their ups and downs.

I thought it only needed 1500 signatures. It has more than that, but if you look to the right it says 924 needed.

Got to think big picture. I honestly never see us winning a title with ZBo. Not knocking him. But he isn't consistent enough and was up and down this past season too much in critical times. Cant have that in the playoffs as we saw. Part of that is because we did not have perimeter scoring to lighten the load and partly because he just didn't show up. More evidence of this is his performance from the charity stripe. Mind just wasn't right. Also he is use to traffic down low. I wouldn't be mad if he is back next year. Love the guy. But it will be a very risky going forward. He only has so much left in the tank before he becomes a huge drain on the cap. He still has enough left in him to bring some quality returns via trade. Lord knows we need some picks. And next years draft class is going to be very deep and loaded. All of this is JMO of course.

ZBO's residence will always be in Memphis, regardless of who he plays for. He has said he wants to retire from the grizz. If that's true, I say we offer him, but at a lower salary. If he takes it, great. If not, shop him.

I've thought about that. Don't see that happening though.

I hate the business side of basketball. Cause guys like Zbo fit in Memphis. They become Memphis. Same for TA. They gave Memphis basketball an identity and to a lesser extent Memphis as a whole with the Grit and the Grind. You just don't see things like that in other NBA towns. But the goal remains the same. Bringing home a ring, thats what it is all about.

That is true. All of it.

Scotty,
I also agree with everything you've stated here, bro. But, I'm thinking the time is now or never. Who do you get to do what we need at the 4? If we wait on someone to mature and become that player, then it will be time to resign one of our core guys or he walks. It's a vicious cycle that never ends.
Ain't it cool that the common goal is that big fat RING and a trophy. And we can come up with a 100 different ways to get it !! Life is good...... and in case noone knows......M Gasol is a 7'1" Spaniard from Barcelona !!! Ask Nerd, he'll confirm it !!!!
Go Grizz !
