Are we gonna play football at UT for the first time in six or seven years?
Between our schedule and questions marks at offensive skill positions, we may be waiting another year. Although, compared to last 2 seasons, we may finally have a consistent product on both sides of the ball.
*Also are we playing two Div-II teams this seasons? If so, we would need 7 wins, correct?

Player A per 36 minutes: 16.1 points, 11.8 rebounds, 46 percent shooting, 52.8 percent within 10 feet, 17.9 PER, $17.8 million.
Player B per 36 minutes: 13.8 points, 10.2 rebounds, 53.9 percent shooting, 60.6 percent within 10 feet, 17.8 PER, $3.1 million.
Player A is 31-year-old Zach Randolph. Player B is his backup, 23-year-old Ed Davis. With that much money at stake, dollars and cents have to win out over sentimentality.
From Espn
Player B is going to have to put the work in outside the court. That's why Lionel didn't care for him. He's lazy off the court if the sources from several memphis radio shows are correct.

Vescey has been promoting Joerger since December. I believe it was Vescey who said he saw Levien talking to a coach in the parking lot and surmised that Hollins was on his way out then. It could have been Sam Smith of course, they both say a lot of things as fact that don't turn out to be true.
While I agree in principle with his tweet, I believe this is his opinion not any insider information. My take, and it is just my opinion, is that the front office has been frustrated in his not buying into their advanced metrics to make substitutions (meaing not playing Ed Davis over Darrell Arthur) and his habit of disagreeing with the front office's strategy in the media.
However, they appreciate the team's success under Hollins also and don't want to dismiss him after the most successful season in franchise history. There may also be some concern that Dave Joerger, who does believe in the advanced metrics the front office favors, will find work elsewhere if Hollins is signed long term. I do believe the front office will be upset to sign Hollins only to see Joerger leave. The idea that they are concerned about having to fire Hollins down the road and eat the remainder of his contract is not supported by any conversations I have had with Levien nor anything I have read.
That isn't to say that isn't a concern for a team with a small profit margin to begin with but I don't believe that is the over-riding concern in the front office. They won't sign Hollins today if they have in the back of their minds the need or desire to fire him later. Again it is just my opinion but I think the loss of Joerger and the lack of buy-in to the new way of seeing the game as larger issues than having to eat Hollins contract later if he is fired.
And then this:

Chip, how do you know he shares the same view of advanced metrics?
I've talked to people inside the organization. I've followed Joerger for years as the assistant coach here. It doesn't mean he's 100% believing everything Hollinger spits out but he does believe that advanced metrics should be taken as a more important tool in his arsenal than Hollins.
Dude seems pretty sharp.
