Hey started thinking earlier and do you think if i go to Vandymania and start a petition to automatically assign the 14TH spot in the SEC to Vandy every year they will sign it???

You would be banned quickly. Don Yates scans every post and bans anyone he remotely suspects is a Vol fan.

Administrator, moderator, creator of their site. Would say he was their Freak, but that would be insulting to Freak. Maybe say he is their Freak wanna be.....and he can want and want and want and still won't come near. Real jerk and seems to be not too bright.

7...count them 7 of our commits are rated by this site as 2 stars....I know stars don't always tell the the whole story and yes I know Matthews was a 2 star yadda yadda...but how in the heck are we going to compete in the SEC with players rate so low....heck latest one has no stars assigned. How can someone this late in recruiting been overlooked with no star rating? I know most of these are rated higher on other sites but come on......other than about 5 or 6 players rest don't appear to help us move up in SEC play. All the other teams are killing us in recruiting. We are NOT all in.......Admin support seems to have died down...no talk anymore about stadium or other facilities upgrades.......jury still out on Mason although new assistants look plausible as did the others that were let go.

What is the answer? Losing enthusiasm. We get commits from what appeared two good receivers on paper, but then get a 2 star rating.....sigh.....are we doomed to constant cellar? Hard to get up every year ......thrill long gone

I would pay a Vandy fan a completely unreasonable sum of money if they would do a dramatic reading with that quote as a script. Then, every night as I went to bed, I'd set it up as the only song on my night-night playlist and have nothing but the sweetest dreams as I pleasantly drifted off to sleep.

Thanks... I find it sad that he bans so many people. I guess that's the only authority he has in his moms basement

Lol. See, this is what gets me with these Vandie guys. Asking if they're doomed to be in the SEC cellar.....like they haven't constantly resided there since the Eisenhower administration. That program has had 7 winning seasons since I've been on this earth....and I turn 49 this year. Those guys are delusional.

Vandy's only hope is to schedule 3 bad FBS teams and to be safe a bad FCS team every year. I'm talking Idaho, New Mexico St., FIU/FAU, and then a bad OVC team. Or since one has to be from a Power 5 conference, make sure it's a traditional bad P5 team. Then hope 2 of their SEC opponents are crap like Mizzou and UK were this year.

That strategy would have gotten them a bowl this year, but instead 2 of their opponents won their conference and Houton won a New Year's Six bowl. And even though they somehow beat them, MTSU was still too good for them.

Yeah, sometimes I think Freak is generous to a fault, especially when posters start bashing the athletes, but then I lurk on Vandy and uconn fan forums and decide I like freedom of speech better. People get thrown off for simply stating an opinion about a perceived weakness of the home team. And I think on both those sites the posts are not put up until after the mod vets them. It is ridiculous. The only time I appreciated the censoring of speech was when some uconn people got on one of their players. The mod posted something to the effect of shut up about our kids or be banned; I think her name is big nan or something like that. Anyway, the posters shut up very quickly. Coaches are fair game, don't know why we have to be so ugly even about them....some people are just ....., but the athletes should not be castigated. They are simply kids playing a sport for the university. And I bet over 99% of them are giving it everything they have.

How do you take pride in your team, look at yourself in the mirror, wear the SEC logo, and lose to Derek Mason's Commodores?

It's a hilarious thread though. You have the obligatory "but, but, but Jordan Mathews!" as well as any NFL player that wasn't rated, yet went on to have an outstanding career.

Unfortunately, some don't understand those types of players only come around every once in a blue moon and lightning rarely strikes twice.
