Vandy is like the ugly Kardashian of the SEC, you date her to say you were with a Kardashian. no one actually sticks with her or really wants to be with her. you stay just long enough until something better walks past, which doesn't take long.

And honestly, after Georgia Tech, his next best offers were: West Kentucky, Navy and Kansas. So other than Tech, really only two other schools of note were pursuing him.

I'd venture a guess that a degree in buttwiping from Vandy, which is what most of their players major in, is worth much less than any type of degree/cert from, say, Vol State.

A 3 month "boot camp" web development course is worth more than most traditional degrees at this point.

They've also latched onto the topic of our recruiting and how Jones has low character after the Tim Hart thing, etc. Honestly, sometimes I think some of their fans enjoy watching negative things happen to us more than positive things happen to them.

oh I am sure of this. they have their "negas" just like we do. Fahr Mason he should have won by 30 touchdowns, holy crap we let them complete a forward pass fahr Mason. that sort of stuff. Mention something at UT and everyone is gungho and in line.

Yep Butch Jones has horrible Character for letting a guy go when we have someone better coming but Franklin was an angel who never done anything wrong.....they make me sick

And Jones didn't even "let Hart go"....offered him the exact same spot on the roster with a blue shirt. It was on Hart for getting in his feelings and saying no.

I know. I try to be nice and reasonable. My mother is a Vandy grad so I really don't have the disdain for Vandy that a lot of our fans seem to, but I do hate the insinuation that because Jones does anything perceivably negative he must be a scum bag. I also especially hate the nicknames like "ewwtee" and "vawls" etc. but not really because they bother me so much as they seem incredibly childish and not well thought through. I'd prefer something clever, at least.

Don't tell that to some of the fans on there, they seem to think Jones pulled his scholarship entirely at the last second and won't listen to a word otherwise.

Trevor Matich was on his weekly segment on Plaster yesterday, and was talking about Franklin at PSU. He said the most glaring thing against JF right now was how Hackenberg was doing great under Bill O'Brien but regressed under Franklin.

What I don't get is how Franklin has the 11th ranked class (Scout) coming in. You would think recruits would be smelling the desperation up there by now.

I don't think anyone has ever discounted that Franklin can recruit. The question is exactly how good of a game day coach he is. He's now playing in conference where the traditional powers are at or are close to full strength, and that's the difference.
