So pretty much back to normal then?
Vandy football is so irrelevant even to its own fanbase that the posters on VM are now spending most of their time talking about UT, Bob Shoop, and James Franklin/Penn State.
Man, it's good to see the Vols rising and Vandy securely affixing themselves to the floor of the SEC once again. When this thread was started they had just won 9 games two years in a row (and beat us both years) and we had missed a bowl for the third year in a row. Now we are potentially preseason top 10 in 2016 and they are stuck with a coach whose ceiling is 5-7.

Just, wow. James Franklin: Man of Character hahaha hahaha bwhahaha
It's possible I'm wrong, everyone thinks they've found "the guy who will stay" when they're in our position. However, I believe very strongly that CJF has shown a very special dedication to Vanderbilt that a lot of outsiders don't understand.
And about a month later, Franklin was gone. So yeah, he was wrong. Dead wrong. And quite naïve.
That was a special couple of weeks. First the outright denial from Vandy fans about the possibility that Franklin would leave. Then the desperate pleas for Vandy to offer him everything he wants to get him to stay. Then the sinking realization that the "EwwTee" fans were right and their savior was abandoning them.
And finally, the hatred and disgust once he started pilfering their recruiting class.
And now they have gone from being 18-8 over two seasons to being 7-17.
