The meltdown that is happening on the Vandy message boards

A couple of hilarious gems from the Vandy Mania this morning:

"After watching the Viles almost lose BG I feel good about our chances against them.

We have better players than Bowling Green, and if we can just keep the fight going through 4 quarters (instead of three like they did) I l like our chances.

Coach schemed well against them last year. If he can get a repeat performance, we'll win that game."

and

"Take a good look at ULM: That won't be us next week . . . Because the newly-restored SOV (as Albert so accurately stated) will come out next week rabid and possessed to push Georgia to the limit, will lose to Georgia by a field goal or less, JUST to f with our heads/torture us and make us think "now, why in the hell didn't we stomp the dog manure out of Western Kentucky? Man, we should have-- how ridiculous!"

Count on it, friends."

Completely delusional and in denial as usual.

Bowling Green would beat Vandy by 14+

I've noticed that the BGSU game has convinced most teams throughout the SEC that they'll beat us easily, or at least be able to score a ton of points. They just see the 400+ yards Johnson threw for and assume that Sal Sunseri is roaming the sidelines again.

Johnny McRrary couldn't connect on the passes that Johnson did if he was throwing against air and his WR was 7'5".

I don't see how they think we almost lost to them. Except for when the score to 21-20 we maintained a 2 score lead over them. Basically we vanderbilted briefly then got back on track.

they have nothing else to do but bash us. The thing is BG truly has better offensive players than Vandy and its really not even close. Two of them are big school transfers and another was going to play for Butch at one time in Cincy. Johnson is scrappy and a much better passer than mccrary who is absolutely awful with his accuracy. Let them say whatever they want but the fact still remains that they cannot even complete a pass against air. Just wait until they get smoked this weekend.

You're shortchanging BGSU...their receivers don't drop passes. :)

No kidding, the BGSU QB was threading some needles and those WRs were making some awesome catches. WKU QB made the throws but the WRs were dropping passes with no one within a few yards. Honestly not many QBs in college can make the throws BGSU QB did and not many college WRs, especially from smaller conferences, would have made all those catches.

I just don't think Vandy can comprehend that BGSU had a passing game that was working like an NFL team on saturday. They can only see that they got lucky against a team that was supposed to have that level of a passing game becuse the WRs were dropping wide open passes, and they still managed to lose.

But then again Candy does have a good amount of realistic fans to go with their delusional ones, just like we have our level headed fans to go with those that were in full meltdown mode on saturday when we were still up by 15.

I just love how they talk smack to us but they lost while we won our game. Yes it wasn't pretty on defense but neither were they on offense.

We literally could've scored 86 points vs BGSU....59+the 2 tds called back+the 2 easy fgs missed+the awful call when DKJr sacked the QB and we recovered his fumble in the endzone....that's 27 points. Let that sink in...our D was bad for sure, but we easily could've won 86-30.

I bet Verne and Gary want to call in sick this Saturday --- Vanderbilt on CBS who would have thunk it ?

A tweet from some idiot who calls himself Mr Commodore...

@DownAnchor: After week 1, Vandy has the 28th best defense in the FBS, while Tennessee is 121st in the FBS.
VU gave up 246 yards.
TN gave up 557 yards.

Missing the obvious fact that Tennessee won and Vandy lost...
