The meltdown that is happening on the Vandy message boards

they didnt mention the part where Dobbs basically beat them by himself last November when the rest of our offense was injured.

Hate to be this guy.... but if anyone has a fair argument against Dobbs over the past few years it's Vandy.

He has played terrible against them 2 years in a row. However, that just goes to show you they don't know football exists outside of their crappy football program. They would worship Dobbs if he was their QB.

He also had pretty horrible circumstances in both games.

In 2013, Vandy had a fairly decent defense and Dobbs had no WRs to throw to. Plus, he was still a freshman who was 4th string one month earlier.

In 2014, we lost Hurd in the 1st quarter and Pig/Pearson decided to have the worst game of their careers. North, Croom, Malone, and Smith were all hurt, too.

The difference is that he made two huge passing plays to Pig and Lane and picked up yards on the ground in 2014. 2013 Dobbs would have lost that game.

and last yr half of the UT offense was injured and didnt play in this game or they came out after literally just a couple snaps. Hurd, Croom, Crowder, North, Smith and Gilliam on 1 leg. He still won the game by himself on offense. Who cares if it was ugly. He still won. Plus we rushed for almost 200 yards with no Hurd and Dobbs basically taking on their whole defense by himself.

i agree with you though they dont know football but you have to take in what we were working with last fall by the time we played them.

Trust me I agree with what you're both saying, but in 2014 they were still Vandy and we were still, injuries and all, AT MINIMUM two TD's better than them. Dobbs just had his struggles that game and they were able to keep it closer than it should have been

and they had a two touchdown lead despite all of that in the 3rd qtr. They just couldnt hold it. He had struggles bc there was nobody to throw to. The other two WRs had bad games. We were playing with a new center, a hurt Right Tackle and we lost our best running back in the first qtr.

Preaching to the choir at this point bud.

My goodness it would be hilarious if UT fans filled up the rest of the stadium for the Western KY game.

And cheer for WKU. Imagine how defeating that would be for the fans and players to look up and see 10,000 Tennessee fans in your own stadium cheering for your opponent.

I really think Broadway is going to be full of UT and WKU fans talking **** about Vandy ALL DAY. It's going to be glorious.

i really believe thats what the scene will look like. WKU fans will be pumped for a big opener nearby and they will show up. UT fans will absolutely flood Nashville that day as well. Its gonna be hilarious to watch it all. But youre right it has to suck for Vandys players. I mean they had some of their players tweeting the day of our game this past season about how there was too much Orange on their campus all day long.

I'm begging TV to schedule these two games apart so I can see both. Switch from my orange to red and watch my two alma maters win and Vandy lose. It will be the greatest football Saturday ever if this works out.

For me it will be a few weeks later when Tennessee plays Arkansas and MTSU plays Vandy. Going 2-0 that day would be the best day of football ever. Especially if Florida and Alabama lose.

Wow! What a great day for you. Didn't realize you were a WKU alum too. Enjoy every minute!

They are talking about their expectations for this upcoming season, and one genius writes, "Kentucky and an emotional home game versus UT are our only realistic conference wins." Guy must not actually follow football if he A) doesn't know the game will be in Knoxville this year, and B) thinks that beating UT is realistic.

We could go 15-0 this season and they would still declare Butch to be a terrible coach and pencil in a win @ Dudley in 2016.
