The meltdown that is happening on the Vandy message boards

They should cheggarboard it.

As a matter of fact, Vandy should only schedule schools that:

  1. Travel well...
  2. Have gold as their primary team color...

So that the can look like they are filling their stadium.

Yeah but how many FCS schools or schools that just moved up from FCS wear gold?

Douchebag Chris Smith has Vandy fans getting pumped about their "star studded list of official/unofficial visitors"

they got a huge list of kids visiting that are currently targets for programs such as Charlotte, James Madison, Illinois,Wake, Navy, Memphis, Air Force, Ark State and Cal. Basically their just trying to get any kid who doesn't have another SEC offer. Bobby Johnson recruiting.

Re: Calling it now: Vanderbilt beats Florida

I believe we can win. If we do, and if Alabama puts Mississippi State "in context" the way they did Texas A&M, all bets could be off in Starkville. We would have two weeks to get ready for a shattered team who could very well be playing for a lame duck coach. Best thing about this scenario, wild and improbable though it may be, is that it would leave UT quaking in their ankle boots.

Good lord. Someone needs to remind them that their only three wins were hard-fought battles against the worst teams in FBS (all three of which are essentially glorified FCS teams) and that they got blown out by Temple by 30 pts.

Statistically, they rank in the bottom 20 in almost every major category in FBS. They're awful, and they're somehow going to upset the Gators? Please.

Lol, we're gonna be "quaking in our ankle boots" against a team that has three wins over (More or less) three FCS opponents by a combined 18 points. They even lucked out in two of those games against CSU and UMASS. It's like comedy hour non-stop at Vandymania.

Utah State and Arkansas State are better teams than Vandy. UTC would probably give them a run for their money.

I think UT. State would run them out of the stadium, similar to what Temple did. Arkansas State would win 8 or 9 times out of 10, and if CSU can nearly beat them then I'd have to imagine Chatt could take them to the wire as well.

Vandymania on Memphis beating Temple...

Don't be so durn negative. We are young. The SEC east is lucky that neither one of those teams are in it this year.

:post-4-1090547912: I love how Vanderbilt fans lie to themselves and will say anything to build up the worst "major" college program in the country to make themselves feel better. There is not a worse team from an aq conference.

Vandymania:

I also recently posted a thread saying that we will put a major scare into Mississippi State in two weeks. There is no doubt in my mind that if we played Temple tomorrow, we would win. That win would have been huge for our bowl hopes!

I don't know which part makes me laugh more. Thinking Vanderbilt will make a game of it against Miss State or no doubt in his mind that his three win team against FCS caliber opponents would beat Temple if they had played again today.

Clearly, this guy is a clueless moron. I think we all can agree on that. But I've seen things just as dumb posted in our football forum. Coming in to Dooley's 3rd year there were still people defending him and his coaching/management style.

I just read that thread, and my god most of them agreed with the OP. They believe they have a shot and some think it's even likely.
