The meltdown that is happening on the Vandy message boards

Cheaper tuition, probably closer to home, and gives the kid some time to figure life out before transferring to a 4 year where the stakes are much higher.

I attended CC for my FR year because an older gentleman in my hometown set up a trust fund to where all graduates from our HS could attend 100% free. They even cut us a gas check to make the 30 mile drive from our hometown to campus. I hated every minute of it but to this day it was the best thing for me. I went in thinking it was going to be like high school all over again. Didn't study for exams, barely did my readings etc. When I got my first mid-term progress report and I was sitting with a B, two C's and a D after graduating 5th in my HS class I realized I wasn't in HS anymore. I can only imagine what it would've been like if I was in Knoxville and living on my own that 1st year if it was that bad while living at home with no distractions.

Sounds like one of my best friends who had to drop out of UT after his first quarter... he went on to earn a veterinary doctorate and is in charge of animal health for a huge global operation now.

LOL there's a thread about the Bottom 10, and one poster is whining that the person who does the list is "a jerk" and others are nit-picking what the guy wrote.

That place is getting to new record levels of pathetic.

Also if you still need proof on the dbag-ness of Vandy fans, checkout major dbag ChiDore's response in the story about the guy who talked to the 2 Tennessee fans, saying the 2 UT fans "didn't even go to college."

Because obviously he knows they didn't go to college for a fact, right?

Classic:

The guy is a jerk. Let's face it, anyone who spends time relishing in the unsuccessful efforts of 18-22 year old boys if a jerk. This list used to be funny. Now it's just jerky.

We're his losing Power 5 team of the year. He can't bother to really follow us closely, so he just makes stuff up.

It gets even funnier.

Now in an attempt to defend Mason, there's a thread where they are pointing out that Franklin really didn't beat many good teams and are basically saying he benefitted from weak schedules.

Also someone there claims Penn St. was Franklin's "dream job" and that if he was just using VU as a stepping stone he would have bolted "when Fayettville and Knoxville called him." Ummmm....did I miss something? In what universe did Arkansas or Tennessee even interview Franklin much less even ask him for one?

The only person saying that UT wanted Franklin was his paramour, Clay Travis.

Pretty much what I think I should have done. I'm at UK for my 2nd year. I had good enough grades and scores to go anywhere, and Vandy was nearly where I went. Ended up going to UK and barely had over a 2.5. Didn't give a crap and spent time doing the wrong thing. Too immature and too silly with my time. I think a year at CC would have helped. Glad I didn't go somewhere with even more distractions.

You know, I bet your a nice guy and all, and we really don't give a **** that you go to UK as long as you continue to root for UT. :)

Well our little red headed step child has to play GA this week. That will put them at 1-5 half way through the season, so I'd say they are right on course to be another typical Vandy team at 2-10.

Bless their hearts.

They will lose to Old Dominion and beat Charleston Southern.

They will also go 0-8 in the SEC.

That's what I thought. Travis is the only one I ever saw or heard claiming Tennessee or Arkansas wanted Franklin and he never gave any proof at all.

Do any of these idiots have any idea of what kind of hell would rain down on the AD of TN if they hired a Vandy coach?

Franklin was never considered. Hart would have been drawn and quartered if he even interviewed Franklin or mentioned his name during a coaching search.

On the bright side, it worked out really well for LSU when they hired Gerry DiNardo away from Vandy. LOL

Vmania, it's a bright and shining turd - here's a solid nugget

Mason currently on 104.5 the Zone.

Other nuggets:
- Sherfield expected to be a big part of the game plan this week

Glad to know it, and so is GA's DC

- Running backs will be involved in the passing game

Offering hand to QBs after sacks?

- We are going to do a "lot of different things" this week

I suppose you have yet to try a few things from 1971 Pro Set Offenses

Mason is holding the playbook back for us. It's all just a ruse to get us to overlook them and then he will unleash those beasts he recruited in the 2014 class on November 29th.

So Mason is putting his HC career on the line for a shot at a 2 win season? Sounds reasonable for Vandy.

Mason to UGA " we can handle your blitz". Haha this guy is a joke. Keep digging your hole deeper. Tennessean article quoted mason talking about how they had all kinds of answers for uga front 7. What a clown.

I really think the final score will be something like 56-7.

Gurley 300+ yards, 3 TDs.

Mason 300+ yards, 3 TDs.

Plus a pick six and a kickoff return thrown in there.

Georgia might not punt for the entire game.

Those are some beautiful thoughts, Jack.
