The meltdown that is happening on the Vandy message boards

The sad thing about Vanderbilt is their total disregard for the game of football and basketball with the money it brings to their university thanks to them being a member of the SEC.

They have the crappiest facilities of any university in the SEC. You're welcome Vandy for the free money we provide you.

Another gem from Vandymania:

It was a time when I enjoyed reading comments on this board and sharing my insight on here, but this has got completely out of hand with these crazy arguments amongst each other. Can anybody on here say that they've never made a mistake at work? I highly doubt it, did any of us see a 3-9 season coming? Sure he made mistakes as a first time head coach but to attack the his character is just BAD to do, I'm sure CDM is a good guy but this bashing of your own head coach is rediculous...things like "Pitchfork Brigages" and the arguements that I've read on here makes me not want to post on here anymore.

Take that, negadores!

And for a school that considers itself an Ivy League institution playing in the SEC, the language ability of the typical poster in their forums is just embarrassing.

Funny post from a Vandymaniac

CJF shattered the losing mentality of six decades of failure but unfortunately did not shatter the culture behind that(sic) hideous six decades. Some of us took notice and have continued the good fight he started with(for the most part)legitimate and thoughtful criticism. It is called accountability and you will find it in every corporate boardroom across America. Do you think CDM decisions on the football field are above reproach? Do you think VCDW Williams retreat from improving our stadium is above any negative comments? Do you think calling out the Administration for a less than 100% effort regarding football is over the top? Groupthink has no place in the area of competition. Ban the dissenters from this site if you will. But you will never ban the spirit that lies within those who demand perfection and success. Dan McGugin and his 6 undefeated seasons did not come without maximum effort.

Hilarious! Invoking Dan McGugin, who coached at Vandy in the 1910s and 1920s!

Just looked at his records and aside from a 9-0 1904 season he never went undefeated and untied. He did have several years with no losses or only one loss but he only had one perfect season.

Now let's be honest with ourselves you don't beat Centre twice in the same season, Georgetown (Kentucky), Nashville College, and Missouri Mines without serious training and commitment.

one of the post I laughed at:

"Tear it down, play one season at LP Field, and build something nice that seats 45,000. "
