If you think getting talent out of Florida was difficult to begin with, then we just got thrown out of the state by the Gators. When a recruit sees what Meyer just did to UT and is considering both schools, who are they gonna choose??

g8terh8ter, apparently, we have people on this board who don't care that it hurt our recruiting or they are too dumb to realize it.You can tell the ones because instead of showing their disgust for Fulmer, they try to make us feel unloyal and silly for trying to get this "fire fulmer ball".rolling.It seems that if they agreed with us on phil Fulmer, they would either post some dissappointments themselves or say nothing instead of trying to make us feel like we aren't making a dent in anything.
Sorry G8terh8ter, HS kids do not get as wrapped up in these scores as you do.
You dont think seeing your prospective college, the place that could set you up to be a millionaire in the NFL with the right coaching, getting 59 points hung on them, and looking VERY bad while doing it, affects a 17 year olds decision making process? Wow.

Here is some work for you. Check the 95 UT/UF score then check the 97 and 98 UT results.
Rather than looking up those stats and trying to place a value on the recruiting effects of today's game, I am just going to consider the logic of the other guy's post...I agree with him that today's game was bad for UT's recruiting. How much or how little? I have no idea.
I don't feel like getting too deep into this. One loss is not going to sway a kid that was really interested in us. The state of the overall program is much more damaging than any one loss.

Yes this does effect recruiting and if you think it does not then you don't understand the mentality of a 17 year old that sees his name in the lights of the game.
It is a perfect example that shoots down your theory. Great players came here even after that horrible loss to UF in 95. The overall state of the program is much more worrisome than any one game.
