Of course he would leave Ole Miss for Tennessee! He would be a great hire, offense oriented coach, offense being something we have not seen here since Coach Cut left!
Many TN fans do not realize how much of a dumpster fire TN is right now. Ole Miss is in better shape than TN right now. Why would Kiffin leave Ole Miss for TN?

Coach Kiffin is probably one of the best hires out there for Tennessee. He is a good coach and even better today since he was at Tennessee. Recently, I talked to a player who played under three coaches while at Tennessee and he said he enjoyed playing for Coach Kiffin the most. He said he was fun to play for and he said "he along with other players would have run through a brick wall for Coach Kiffin". Players today need a coach they want to play for and Kiffin is that type of coach. Coach Kiffin hurt a lot of feelings when he left for USC, but understandably he always wanted to coach at USC. Coach Kiffin is older and wiser now and many say he regrets leaving Tennessee. If we are searching for a game-changing coach, it is a coach like Kiffin. Some people will continue to be butt-hurt since he left Tennessee, but if we want to have the kind of program we are wanting it may require to do some forgiving and let the past go. I know during my playing days I would have loved to play for a coach like Kiffin. He makes football fun with his coaching style and with innovative offensive plays. Personally, I think he was waiting in the wings to be called for the Tennessee job, but at this point I think he has moved on with his job at Mississippi. Coach Kiffin has been mostly successful at every place he has been. I think he would have eventually turned Southern California around given more time with reduced scholarships. I think we as fans need to come together and learn to support our coaches and players whoever is chosen as the next coach. Division among fans is not going to help the program. I think we will see when we try to find a coach that many coaches will turn away because of the division and early high expectations. The normal time given to most coaches is between 3 to 5 years to see results. It may take longer for our program because of the number of setbacks the program has gone through. I don't envy any coach coming in right now because he has a huge task ahead of him. I have been a Vol fan for over sixty years and I want to see the Vols back where we used to be constantly in the Top Ten or Twenty, but we have to realize the monumental task it takes to be the best year in and year out. I hope and pray we all find a way to come together in this time of confusion for our program's sake, the current players, and potential future recruits.

To all you guys wanting to hire Kiffin; he’s been extended in Oxford. He’s got hot sorority girls available to him he’s not coming to Knoxville...

Only way this happens is if Steele stays interim coach throughout the coming season. Kiffin won’t leave Ole Miss after a year, but after two years he could probably be lured away.

dude
He is half our problem still

No

I'd have to say about 10% of the problem. Hamilton was, at least, 90%! Still haven't recovered from that AD's decisions.

This hiring decision is all about Arch Manning and whether the Mannings are pro-Kiffin or not. If the Mannings are anti-Kiffin, the Vols have a shot at revival through a Peyton-like effect on recruiting. Kiffin isn't leaving Ole Miss to go back to UT. His offense is outstanding with or without Arch Manning (see Ole Miss vs Bama this year).

Kiffin would have one good year here and bolt. Seems like Ive seen this somewhere.

Y’all may think I’m nuts, and I’m not sure I would approve, but think about this. There are a LOT of people that wanted Kiffin the first time around and still a significant # of people now that he’s done well at 2 other stops. There was no way Kiffin was getting hired back to UT by Fulmer. But now it’s announced Fulmer is stepping aside.....
you are nuts

Lmao, imagine being so uninformed and so incapable of rational and logical thought that you think our football coach that was here 1 year over 10 years ago is "half of our problem"... Seek psychiatric help, for real...
Wow that really struck a nerve.
