Friend of mine who is a Ohio State fan said Vols should go after Tom Herman. I don't know, he didn't do much at Texas but he wasn't there that long either. I guess there could be worse hires, but I don't think he can get us to where the program needs to be.

I never did get a clear picture on why Herman was fired. I read that his players did not like him because he was too tough on them. I like tough coaches myself. Not sure if he could recruit outside of Texas and we need to be able to recruit the south.

There are a LOT of people that wanted Kiffin the first time around and still a significant # of people now that he’s done well at 2 other stops. There was no way Kiffin was getting hired back to UT by Fulmer. But now it’s announced Fulmer is stepping aside.....

How has he “done well at 2 other stops”?

He is a very different coach now than he was at UT / USC. Could actually be a decent coach.

I love Kiffin but there's no way. He left us with NCAA infractions in just 1 year, that's the last think we need. I'd love to hire him, but it would be too risky.
