OP may be on to something. He said Kiffen. I’m thinking let’s hire Layla Kiffen. May not win many games but dang we’d fill the stands.

Go VOLS
It might be crazy enough to work . I believe she could beat Saban. She’s already in his head , I have photographic evidence to back this up .

Kiffin was my number one pick last time around. I still believe he’s an excellent coach with a passion for the game. Don’t believe he’ll ever be back on the TN sideline.

He’s already shown us how very unreliable he is. If he came back here, I believe he would do well, until Mullen, Smart, or Saban were to vacate their jobs. Please not him!

Coach Kiffin is probably one of the best hires out there for Tennessee. He is a good coach and even better today since he was at Tennessee. Recently, I talked to a player who played under three coaches while at Tennessee and he said he enjoyed playing for Coach Kiffin the most. He said he was fun to play for and he said "he along with other players would have run through a brick wall for Coach Kiffin". Players today need a coach they want to play for and Kiffin is that type of coach. Coach Kiffin hurt a lot of feelings when he left for USC, but understandably he always wanted to coach at USC. Coach Kiffin is older and wiser now and many say he regrets leaving Tennessee. If we are searching for a game-changing coach, it is a coach like Kiffin. Some people will continue to be butt-hurt since he left Tennessee, but if we want to have the kind of program we are wanting it may require to do some forgiving and let the past go. I know during my playing days I would have loved to play for a coach like Kiffin. He makes football fun with his coaching style and with innovative offensive plays. Personally, I think he was waiting in the wings to be called for the Tennessee job, but at this point I think he has moved on with his job at Mississippi. Coach Kiffin has been mostly successful at every place he has been. I think he would have eventually turned Southern California around given more time with reduced scholarships. I think we as fans need to come together and learn to support our coaches and players whoever is chosen as the next coach. Division among fans is not going to help the program. I think we will see when we try to find a coach that many coaches will turn away because of the division and early high expectations. The normal time given to most coaches is between 3 to 5 years to see results. It may take longer for our program because of the number of setbacks the program has gone through. I don't envy any coach coming in right now because he has a huge task ahead of him. I have been a Vol fan for over sixty years and I want to see the Vols back where we used to be constantly in the Top Ten or Twenty, but we have to realize the monumental task it takes to be the best year in and year out. I hope and pray we all find a way to come together in this time of confusion for our program's sake, the current players, and potential future recruits.Coach Kiffin is probably one of the best hires out there for Tennessee. Write a book next time.

The ole Stoney Point soothsayer says that after an exhaustive search Lane Kiffin is hired as the University of Tennessee's head football coach to a mixed reaction of the Vols fanbase & goes 7-5 in his first year but is ineligible for a bowl game; the Vols go 10-2 in his second year with a bowl game looming as Nick Satan announces his retirement due to health concerns. The night after the Vols beat Vanderbilt in the final game of the regular season a private jet picks lane up at 2:00 a.m. & whisks him off to Tuscaloosa where he states that he will always love & treasure his time in Knoxville, but the Tide has always been his dream job !!! He changes Knox's name to Nickey !!!
You lost me at the part where we beat Vanderbilt

Why don't we go ahead and just hire Saban if we're going to be this delusional.

We're a **** show. No one is going to want this job right now. Get real.
Dude many in our fan base think we could get Saban, Meyer, stoops, belichick, lombardi, ect cause UT is the #1 destination in the world in college or pro sports. They believe every thing that comes from a coaches mouth, a tweet, or a reporter looking for clicks hence why we're branded the most delusional fan base.

It’s Mcridiculous

Kiffin ain't the sharpest tool in the shed but as he is Offensive genius he isn't going to fall for a true failure which UT is now. Live with what we have now. UT is dying......... pains me to say it but forget ever being relevant again. Those days are gone. If you don't realize this then you are seriously delusional.

I thank the fans and the admin for killing UT football. Bring on Basketball and Baseball because that's what we are! Hope you armchairs who know nothing about ball are happy you tore down our beloved University! Awesome job JERKS!

If you see a way out please respond but most of this board is on ignore and your the reason we are looking for another coach.

Not sure why you are on here, if you blame the fans for this mess
