The Jarrett Guarantano hate

"missed a couple throws" OMG 😂
Tell us Mr NegaVol exactly how many passes did he miss on? You neverJGers look like a bunch of crying 7th graders to me. Keep moaning and groaning though, I'm sure your father's are proud of how their grown ass sons are constantly crying over JG playing QB while his team just continues to win.

You have to remember, Pulaski operates from a position of willful ignorance in terms of context.

So for him, missing a throw into triple coverage after you dodged a sack, is the same as missing a throw to a wide open receiver in the middle of the field after you held the ball for 3.5 seconds after the snap and your oline kep the pocket up the entire time.

It's the only way he can maintain cognitive dissonance by relying on the stat line alone, even though he watched the actual game.
Watched every play, he missed on a handful of throws. Led his 7th straight game winning drive and his 8th out of our last 9 games. The more that happens the more you guys cry the worse you look. Keep being you Mr NegaVol if it makes you happy, makes me laugh so I don't mind at all. What's it like to be a grown a$$ man who cries all the time?

The fact thst you can't make a cogent argument without relying on hyperbolic nonsense is very telling.

We are a team right now roster-wise that can be competitive with the likes of Florida, Georgia and Alabama. With JG playing as he has done his entire career including last night , we will likely lose by 21 points plus to all three. I’m going to review this game play by play and sum up all the good plays and bad plays for JG. I’ll post it later but I’m going to guess at the moment that he cost us 5 scores (TG or FG) in the game last night. SC is a bad team and the game should have been a rout by halftime but wasn’t because of JG.

Great prediction, go yell that in the Vols locker room if you ever get the chance.

Underwhelmed by Qb play and play calling...Not sure if they should be considered as the same. All the talk led me to believe that we were better than we showed last night.

Lol, you're crying about a QB that has been a big part of 7 straight wins. I don't know how long it's going to last so I'm going to enjoy it for as long as it does and I'm gonna sit back and laugh at fans like you who just cry and moan like little school boys when we win. You're not a fan, you're a farce.

You seem to be fine being a perennial mid-to-bottom-tier SEC team that averages scoring 24 ppg, I'm not and I hope Pruitt isn't either.

In reality , if JG were half as good as you want to believe that he is and was actually responsible for the "7-game winning streak" that has gotten you so arroused, he wouldn't be a 5th year senior at UT, and would have moved on to the NFL already instead of looking at returning for a 6th covid year.

We are hoping for a Qb that gives us a chance with the stronger teams on our schedule. The rest of the roster gives us a chance. The Qb position does not. The average Vol fan hopes for UT to be at the level of Georgia or Florida. With JG at Qb we will never get there this year.

Aside from poise, my only gripe with JG is the fact that he throws 100 MPH darts, whether the receiver is five yards or 50 yards away. He has shown toughness and grit.

I don't think anyone is disputing that he's been some part of 7 straight wins, but I think the disconnect with the point your making and the issue several have is most of those games shouldn't have been close. Last night was no exception as this game shouldn't have been close, but JG kept it that way. The overthrows to open receivers, not hitting a receiver in stride, or simply throwing an open receiver into coverage is the concern and has been for several years. If it's a good team, we lose that game last night. We are not good enough to overcome unforced mistakes.
Just my opinion, whatever that's worth.

There you go with a shoulda argument followed by no reason why. Every single close win was predicted by Vegas. When did our fans get so good that they feel they are better at predicting what the score should be over the guys at Vegas that predict these things. You should become a bookie if you're that good at it, seems to me though that they've been a lot closer in their "shoulda" predictions than our fanbase has shown.

That makes no sense. Not a prediction to watch the game and come to the conclusion that we should have won by more with good qb play. That’s just assessing the game. I think JG made some nice passes yesterday, but we would’ve converted 4-5 more 3rd downs had he made accurate throws to open guys. One of which would have put us in FG position, and many others would have put us in SC territory. Who knows what the score would’ve been. He did not have a great game yesterday.

Don't get me wrong, I am not a fan of him at all. I never see him winning significant games at Tennessee. I do think some people dislike his play more than I, however.

I know. When the difference between JG having a "good" game or not is solely determined by his level of ball security we've got a problem with priorities on the offense.

Offense (JG): While it was clear that the offense suffered timing issues, I was happy with JG's play at QB. He looked comfortable, was intentional with his throws, and made good decisions. The kid had a bunch of new WR's, and I like what I saw.

Wow, didn't know I would hit such a nerve. So yes, shame on me for expecting more from a 5 year QB. I guess Vegas is correct in that they know as long as JG is QB, all games will be close against a bad team and not so close against good teams. During this 7 game winning streak, only two teams (Kentucky & Indiana) have winning records. I was simply pointing out the concerns for the last 3 years and as long as he is in there, expect under throws, over throws, throwing behind, throwing open receivers into coverage, and throwing late. I am not sure how you can watch that game and not see if we had better QB play, it would have been a blow out. Teams will stack the box and dare us to throw. So enjoy close wins against bad teams, as for me, I want to see improvement to compete with the top teams, and get separation from the middle/bottom of the pack teams.
Wishful thinking I guess, but glad you are satisfied with mediocre and winning the tax slayer bowl.

You know why Vegas predicted a 3 point win? Because we are good for 24 PPG behind JG, and USCe was good for 24 PPG game last year as well. 28 if you count them running up 72 points on Charleston Southern.

I am happy we won. I don’t hate JG. Quite the opposite. But it’s time to move on. I really thought in year 2 under Chaney that he would take a big step forward. He didn’t. Keyton was beating DBs all night long yet the 2 couldn’t hook up. We need to see Shrout and Maurer against Missouri. If they look like JG did yesterday then we have a serious problem.

I mean how badly would UF, UGA or Bama beaten us? Looking at what we did offensively last night I would say 21+ and that might be conservative.

We dont beat LSU, Ga, FL, Al today and those 7 wins are against garbage teams who will never compete for a conference title.

Florida looked amazing and even Ole Miss looked better than us in their loss.

I swear some of you are JGs family or just enjoy being a mediocre team.

7 wins in a row. What trophy they get for that?

I think it's so stupid that fans accuse folks happy with winning as saying they are satisfied with mediocre and winning the tax slayer bowl. Nobody is happy being mediocre but I'm also not so naive and out of touch that I expect a 3rd year coach who inherited the worst roster in the history of our program to completely turn that bunch into a team that dominates other SEC teams on the road in just 2.1 seasons, especially games where Vegas puts us as only a 3 point favor. I'd love for us to be in that dominating position but we aren't there just yet but I'm happy we are to a point where we win 7 or 8 in a row even when we didn't play our best in 3 or 4 of those games. Sure beats the alternative and really the only thing Pruitt and JG hasn't done is beat one of the 3 main rivals, which I believe could happen this year and you obviously must think it won't with JG at center.

Probably win the trophy for having the most fans in the country too stupid to realize it's quite an accomplishment coming off the previous couple of seasons and the porous SEC rosters we were putting on the field just 2 short seasons ago.

No hate, he's a Vol and doing his best. Coaches are going to play the best player to win so if there is better, they will emerge during the season. No need to trash JG, coaches yes but players, no.
