That’s way to complex and you are way overthinking it , the solution is now and has always been basic and simple when it comes to politics ... put up better candidates for people to vote for . Hint : not ones you think are better than Trump . What happened in 2016 is history , what’s the old saying about learning for our past ? It really is that simple .

You are rarely right on anything, but you are right when you say Trump isn't "normal" Not being a normal lifelong politician is in part why he won. Dems first choice obviously is a dem winning the election, after that you all are ok with soft RINOs like Romney or Kasich, now of course you all would have called them racist, sexist, homophobic also but secretly been perfectly fine with them being in office.

As much as I'd like to agree, I don't think the GOP can get it's act together that well. They've done fairly well at being united this round, but Paul, Romney, and the other well known RINOs are turncoats (to be kind).

In any criminal trial conducted in the United States (and yes, I realize that's not what this is), the only fact witness that the defense is allowed to keep from testifying is the defendant (by pleading the 5th). The complaints about "fairness" ring hollow. It's whining.
