The Impeachment Thread

He doesn’t sign off on those? I must be confused. Those budgets don’t exist unless he oks them. So yes it’s on him. Start being honest with yourself and what’s going on. You knew that but decided to blame congress.

Yes, you are confused; it appears you can't vote for ANYone based upon your criteria of being a "..lying scumbag who has no problem pissing our future down the drain by expanding the debt."

I recommend you eschew voting altogether since no one meets your standards. Without Congress, there are no bills to sign; Congress is the fundamental problem. If you want EVERYthing to stop, then a president should sign nothing. Then you can bit&h that Trump is an obstructionist, do nothing president.

It takes the 2 branch tango to spend. Trump is a (continued) nightmare for debt.

We all understand that, but Congress is the fundamental problem; spending is their baby. They could fix deficit spending today.

Insofar as spending, there isn't a dime's worth of difference betweeen Repub and Dem, just the spending and taxation they support. If we look at deficits by administration, tell me how Trump is suddenly the problem with our massive debt. Which President Rang Up the Highest Budget Deficit?

Every president, and with few exception every congressional rep, has been a nightmare for debt, for a long time now.

He should have kept it shut down. And the reason we have this problem is bc we the electorate allow it. So you do you and keep pissing the future away

He could, but you’d be on the other side of the coin then, saying he needs to get off his ass and sign it because people are dying from his myopia and unwillingness to work with Congress. Political expedience and hate for Trump is all this is. Everyone acknowledges there is a spending problem; many recognize it is not a one-man problem.

If brains were gas, this forum couldn’t make two laps around a froot loop.

I would fully support that move from Trump and would even vote for him if he signed nothing. What I don't support is hiding something line a tobacco age increase in the defense funding bill. Send it back and make them rewrite

How long have you been concerned with pissing the future away, who did you vote for the last few elections, and plan to vote for in 2020?

It's always been about "power" with the GOP, "Power" to enrich themselves. The common theme among those that identify as Republican is to vote for someone that wants to pretty much destroy the government and let capitalism go unchecked. What could go wrong with power hungry capitalist running the government besides rampant corruption?

Oh, please; only Marxists like AOC think the U.S. is a "wild west, hypercapitalist" environment. In fact, only because of the 2017 tax cuts are we competitive with Nordic countries, for example. Until then, we were routinely not in any top 10 list from an effective tax rate or regulatory environment. We at least make an appearance in some of those lists while running somewhere in the top 25-30 in others.

And no one is complaining except the Marxists.

The process is voting and the problem is the voters. I just want to know how do you top Trump if he embodies the "Greatness" of America? If you look at the things his supporters see as accomplishments, the only thing left is to build a wall, bring all of our troops home, cut off free trade, deregulate everything except drugs and abortions, pull out all of our alliances, treaties, and pacts, and do away with the education system, FBI, and Democrats; all the while begging foreign countries to interfere in our elections to keep that power and try to convince the voters it's not a cover up.

That's a bit apoplectic. We've a de facto wall and the Mexican government is paying for it; cool, eh? Bringing "all" the troops home is part and parcel of the EU doing more on defense spending, which ties in with our pacts and alliances assuming greater burden sharing the world police role.

If you think our education system is working then bully! put on more steam while we continue a 40 year flatline into mediocrity. At least we're teaching them to become speech and gun prohibitionists, socialist fiscal idiots with abysmal grasp of our language and history.

The FBI, CIA, DOJ, and FISA court need to be cleaned out; that's obscenely obvious from the baseless investigations of 3.5 years now. Democrats used to understand the danger of government abuse even while their leftmost focking loved the Stalinists and USSR until they were no longer socialist/commies.
Essentially, take every rancid claim re: "foreign interference" in our government - or anything else - and the Democrats actually did it, which is how you know you're talking to a Democrat.

You mean the one where the duly elected members of the house properly voted to impeach the president? Yeah, still happening. Reality doesn't become fiction by throwing in the word "fake."
Too bad everything up to the vote was a travesty. But you are right they properly voted.

You clearly don’t know me or my posting history. I would never be against a government shutdown while we run in the red like this. Shut it the F down.
