Its hard to imagine that there are people who still buy into the notion that there is some innocent explanation for this.

I'm surprised they haven't tried the "Trump forgot he put the hold in place because he's very busy Making America Great Again [ie golfing on the taxpayer's dime]" excuse.

Just don't see why his base won't admit he held up the aid to spur an investigation, or even just word of an investigation, to smear Biden. And that they are fine with that. At least that would be honest.

It's always been about "power" with the GOP, "Power" to enrich themselves. The process is voting and the problem is the voters. I just want to know how do you top Trump if he embodies the "Greatness" of America? If you look at the things his supporters see as accomplishments, the only thing left is to build a wall, bring all of our troops home, cut off free trade, deregulate everything except drugs and abortions, pull out all of our alliances, treaties, and pacts, and do away with the education system, FBI, and Democrats; all the while begging foreign countries to interfere in our elections to keep that power and try to convince the voters it's not a cover up.
