The Impeachment Thread

If true, I see the alleged behaviors as high crimes and misdemeanors. The international political landscape is not a business boardroom.
Under what specific criminal code(s) do these “high crimes and misdemeanors” fall under?

Millions wanting to vote the way they did is the glaring symptom of the problem.
If you don't see the election and continued support of Trump as a problem, then there is really nothing more that can be said.
I guess not seeing the problem is a big part of the problem.

Yea, I don't buy any of it.
I've had a number of people I didn't support win an election, including the Oval Office. I have never felt the system (public) failed as I do with Trump. Any of the other 16 would have been at least tolerable. I've made my point a hundred times and it hasn't changed since day one.
Trump is horrendously despicable. He should have never been nominated. He should have never been elected. He should be removed by any legal means available. He should not even be considered as a candidate in 2020. He is a once in 300 year cataclysmic anomaly.

I'm done for now. Go Vols!!

You don’t have to buy anything , I’m not selling just pointing out facts . Hillary got out worked and thought she would win because it was her turn . The voters said nah , that’s it .. it’s just that simple .

Here's the leader of the coup hanging with his bestie and "alleged" serial killer who strangles homeless guys after luring them back to his place for food, meth, and sex.

The July 17 votes, which ultimately went nowhere, were about the overtly racist statements against four Representatives. Had anyone acted with malice against any of these women and a judge was about to clearly connect their actions back to the irresponsible communications by the President, then there would be clear cause.

Too many people applaud or dismiss behaviors that are commonly considered undesirable simply because they want to demonstrate loyalty or reward other actions that go in their favor. We do ourselves a grave disservice in rewarding undesirable behavior.

You’re missing the point entirely.

These aren’t crimes. These are political missteps.

Why are you and so many others OK with impeachment being turned into a political weapon?

Do you understand what this will mean for future presidents?

I'm not missing the point, not at all. This deserves to be investigated, and if these are simply missteps then they should be ruled as such after the process bears out.

I will trust the outcome of any properly implemented process. Right now, neither side has done things right.

You’re ignoring the purpose of impeachment entirely.

It was never intended as a partisan political weapon the way the Democratic house majority is using it.

What was never intended was that the members of the same party as the president would put party over constitutional responsibility. This only appears partisan because repubs are ignoring their sworn duties.

That's why I said "Right now, neither side has done things right."

The more this plays out, the more I believe we need to ditch the two-party system. The GOP and DNC have their drones by the short and curlies with campaign funding and committee appointments dependant on their submission to the Party Line.

The sooner we can get the common citizen used to not having to deal with an (R) or (D) next to a name telling them how to vote, the better.

You mean the one where the duly elected members of the house properly voted to impeach the president? Yeah, still happening. Reality doesn't become fiction by throwing in the word "fake."
Is your girl ever going to bring charges? You know... to the body that actually has the trial?

Ain't gonna happen.
