I haven't followed except for skimming this thread. But it seems the likelihood of removal is remote. Even posted a question about it 2 days ago (i think). As far as I know no leftish poster thought he would neither be removed nor would it change the upcoming election.

So, if the end result is status quo, what's the point beyond political theater?

I certainly agree with that. To never have served yourself and ridicule someone who did and likely went through literal hell that no one could understand unless they’ve been through it is absolutely disgusting.

The right thing to do is impeach. The Dems will do that. The right thing to do would be remove Trump from office. The GOP won't do that.
It's you classic good vs. evil.

If something so terrible and illegal was done it would and should have bi-partisan support. No doubt this is a partisan political witch hunt. I will always maintain Pelosi didn’t want to go down this road but she was pulled by the AOC wing, aka the base

Definitely the rabid vulturistic base demanding their pound of flesh to strut around the neighborhood. These idiots are going to impeach on one fact witness who confessed trump told him "I want nothing, NO QUID PRO QUO" , all the while holding back exculpatory basement testimony. They're going to get shredded in the Senate, but it won't matter. They'll be chicken scratchin all over the board.
