The Impeachment Thread

You can get indicted for perjury if asked "what did you have for breakfast" and you say "ham and eggs" but they latter find out you also had orange juice and didn't tell them.
You will only be indicted if everything you had for breakfast is pertinent to the issue and you left out the orange juice.

No one would care about that type of trivial perjury. It's what the lie is intended to cover that's important.

There was no law preventing Trump's minions from being subpoenaed. They were. Trump is just terrified of the truth getting out.
Trump withheld aid in return for a public statement by the Ukrainian president that was intended for nothing other than to help Trump in 2020. It's crystal clear.

I never claimed there was! I was simply countering the falsehood that by law the WB was protected from being called to testify or voluntarily testifying.

In case you Diehard Trumpers missed it, per his interview on FoxNews, party's over...

Kenneth Starr:

“There will be articles of impeachment,” Starr said, according to The Week. While that seemed a foregone conclusion before, “it was just confirmed today,” he added. “Substantively, what we heard from [Intelligence Committee Chair Rep. Adam Schiff] just now is: It’s over. We now know — this is his position — we now know that the president, in fact, committed the crime of bribery
🤣🤣🤣 another one takes the context bait!

Here’s what I see:
1) Ukraine aid is in part contingent on anti-corruption investigations.
2) Biden previously threatened to withhold aid due to non compliance with this contingency.
3) Burisma is founded by a member of the ousted previous corrupt regime.
4) Trump held aid for a commitment to investigate 2016 election meddling and investigating the Bidens association with a company founded by a known corrupt Ukrainian.

So do you it’s appropriate for the president to be involved in directing or initiating investigations into political rivals?

Who has now been indicted
Ukraine widens probe against Burisma founder to embezzlement of state funds

I don't think they do. It goes to the Senate they have zero control over the witnesses.
The longer this plays out the worse it goes for the POTUS and GOP, regardless of what some on this board are saying today....it was a bad day for the POTUS and GOP.
