The Impeachment Thread

GOP COUNTERPUNCH
How Republicans could turn the tables in a Trump impeachment trial
But the tables could turn, should the House approve impeachment articles and trigger a trial in the Republican-controlled Senate. There, Trump’s allies are already indicating they will look more closely at allegations involving Democrats.
"Frankly, I want a trial," Trump declared Friday on “Fox & Friends.”

So your point is that one is believed upon political affiliation not the person's life and integrity they have amassed?
You're the one making a political divide and the fact you dont see it is sad.
Do you know the man personally? If not, how can you really know his integrity? Lots of good people have done bad things throughout history. I've not said Vindman is one of them, but you seem to think I have. I've just said using the "Purple Heart" argument doesn't mean he is beyond reproach. Hell, I've even said that Trump supporters will be more inclined to attack/question him. Perhaps I've made my point poorly, or maybe you just don't want to see my point.

Depends on how you are trying to go about impugning Vindman's credibility. Once again, I'm speaking only in the narrow context of Vindman, and how Trump was suggesting that his loyalties were with the Ukraine. Coming from a man who dodged service, that is despicable.
Fine to have that opinion, but seems hypocritical to damn some for dodging the draft while celebrating others. Which goes back to my point of being more willing to defend those who share your belief.

Purple Heart probably about as valuable as the one Kerry wrote for himself.

You don't agree that people are more likely to defend those who share their beliefs and attack those that don't share their beliefs?
Pretty sure she’s dumbfounded because you’re basically arguing that if the democrats say 2+2 is 3 and republicans say 2+2 is 8 then the truth is unknowable.

You are what you claim to hate. What's funny is your inability to see that.
I've heard that from you multiple times now.
What's funny is your inability to see the difference.
Not sure whose inability to see is funniest.
You continue to frame this as a dem side versus the rep side thing and that's just categorically wrong.
It's not, at least for me. It's a my side (whatever you wish to call that) versus Trump thing. Always has been.
I've said over and over, it has nothing to do with Hillary and none of this would have happened with any of the other 16 republican candidates, yet you and others selective choose to gloss over that fact.
I've been consistent. The worst possible thing for anyone to do is normalize Trump.
He is not the norm, has never been the norm, and should never be the norm.

Nope. But he is the best.

Did Trump have a private server to conduct his pay for play business? Did the FBI find evidence to warrant guilt yet say na we’re gonna let it slide. All you have is hearsay of him trying to sway another country to investigate another corrupt dim and you think that’s wrong. Lol.
Maybe Trump is buying time so he can delete emails, hammer a bunch of cell phones and bleach bit a server. you know, the acts of an innocent person.
There are none so blind as those who will not see.

If the last two weeks are indication, Trump could literally walk in and confess and beg to be impeached and you’ll find a way to say it’s glorious. 🤷🏻‍♂️
But we all know how ridiculous the left looks in this whole thing. Keep denying it. Right up until 2024.

What is scary to me is that you are allegedly an attorney, and you have let your partisan douchebaggery blind you to obvious hearsay evidence and think it somehow constitutes an impeachable offense. And you (allegedly) passed the Bar?

It's not that I don't think the truth is unknowable, but politics seem to change what people see as truth. Many people believe what they want to believe without ever entertaining the truth. Take Luther as an example.

You said she was guilty. How do you know this for fact without the beloved due process you cherish?
Hypocrisy just oozes from you guys so easily. It's either pure genius comedy you're spewing and I'm laughing with you or a lack of self awareness in which I'm laughing at you.
You keep saying this
Nobody believes it
Its ran its course
You have accomplished nothing
Please come up with your own intelligent argument

That isn't what shocked me. Vindman hasn't done anything except what he was suppose to do. Same with Taylor and Hill. Alarm bells went off and they showed concern/reported it. He has done nothing to warrant suspicion but apparently he should be subjected to a criminal investigation because Flynn?

I mean, it's one thing to pretend to be neutral, but this is beyond silly.

I’m not going to deny that that happens but you’re taking it to the extent of “anybody saying 4 must be a democrat.”

Oh man the attorney jokes. I’m so burned how will I ever recover?
