The Impeachment Thread

Here is the fact of the impeachment matter, if they don't convict it opens it up for the next democrat President to ask Russia or any other country, for the dirt they have on the Republicans in exchange for lifting sanctions. Is that something the GOP really wants? I know the Trump supporters and Republicans are not very intelligent but don't be stupid.

It seems to me a Democrat National Committee already tried using the Russians to get dirt on a Republican candidate.

It came out months ago back in 2019........you remember that right? Were you taking your long nap that day?

According to the only source I could find, Epstein sexually assaulted a girl. He wasn't just "hitting" on them, I'm sure he'd been doing that for a long while over the previous 15 years he was a member. The assertion was that Trump's moral code wouldn't allow for hitting on them, if this is to be believed. A more plausible explanation is that no one g.a.s. until he assaulted one and they needed to distance themselves, post haste. There are other theories why he was expelled from the club.

Yep. Obama was working on getting us out of NAFTA, out of TPP, out of the Iran deal, the Paris Climate Accords, Obama had already dropped the Obamacare mandates, had already cut taxes, opened up pipelines, expanded our domestic oil production, natural gas fracking. Obama was really hammering on our allies to help pay for their own defense, beef up the military, reduce federal sentencing for drug crimes, etc. This was all after Obama moved the capital from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and closed Gitmo. ……..Obama was a busy, busy man with all he accomplished in only 8 years.

No the Dems are the only party with clear evidence of collusion with the British spy Christopher Steele. But they have this fantasy that they can actually charge and convict the president with this horse crap. But guess what only the whackjob left believes it. So yes there will at some point be a demo president and guess what there will also be a republican controlled house. So just wait payback is a b..ch

That hurts Dershowitz' credibility big time, particularly if he follows through and makes that argument to the Senate. My guess is that now that this video has surfaced, he will back off and alter his original intended argument to avoid the contradiction. Still, he will be mocked -- and rightly so -- for the conflict in his positions, further casting doubt on his claims of purity of motive.

It is a great day when libs are forced to turn on one of your own. Their heads are exploding before our eyes.

How does it just hurt Dershowitzs credibility from the things he’s said in the past , but not Pelosi’s , Nadler’s or Maxiene Waters credibility? That puzzles me how the left squares that up without being hypocrites.

Didn't Biden refer to it as a lynching?

The people you point to as hypocrites are partisan political figures. I know of no one who claims that such people are consistent on these matters. They are all hypocrites, D and R, alike.

The difference is that Dershowitz has been going around bragging about how his motives are pure and non-partisan, that he did not vote for Trump and is a liberal Democrat. He claims he is making the argument that impeachment requires acts that are traditionally described by statute as crimes, and he says this knowing that Trump supporters are using that to give Dershowitz' defense of Trump some sort of extra weight and credibility as coming from someone who claims not to be motivated by support for Trump.

And now we see that in fact Dershowitz took the dead opposite position on another occasion. His claim that he is defending Trump on this point because its the right thing to do, and that his motives are beyond question, now in fact lead to legitimate questioning as to Dershowitz' motives. I have commented elsewhere on this before, but I think it pretty well the thinking of most people at this point that Dershowitz' loyalty to Israel and belief that Trump's policies favor Israel have corrupted Dershowitz' thinking.

Post policies to win in 2020 and quit posting and hoping for some hoax to help you win.

But not enough to vote for him.

I appreciate your honest answer , it’s the first time it has been answered in any way . My problem here is , if those partisan leaders that we both agree are hypocrites , would have followed their own words , we wouldn’t be needing to have a discussion about Dershowitz’s credibility.
