The Impeachment Thread

Where is that kid that was going around saying Trump will go down as the greatest president in history ever? Lol

He's much like Clinton in that respect. Overall, he's the most FDR-like president since him. About equal with Obama when it comes to narcissism.
This is another attempt to normalize Trump's behavior by claiming that other Presidents have been just as bad. It simply isn't true. Can you point to a time when Barack Obama was ever as mean-spirited and petty as Donald Trump was at his Michigan rally, with his rant against John Dingell - a man who is now dead? Nobody I have ever seen is equal to Trump when it comes to narcissism.

Just read and the sixth says speedy to all criminal charges. No underlying requirements.

If she holds onto it she could also be voiding his fifth amendment right of due process.

She will definitely be going into unknown waters here and I am sure Trump would push it to the Supreme Court.
He will involve SCOTUS.

So... He's an *******, doesn't mean i would ever eat dinner with him but for the most part, I agree with his policies. I don't really agree with speaking ill of the dead, Dingalls record speaks for itself. He was a centrist democrat and i agree with about 80% of his platform.

There are plenty of other politicians who, for the most part, you agree with their policies. Why pick and support the worst?

Unless of course she actually wants to see the Senate call witnesses.
Not her call. She's in charge of the House, not the Senate. She doesn't get to run the entirety of Congress. It's almost like she's abusing her power for political purposes. Would holding back to get favorable terms equate to extortion? It's funny what people consider acceptable and unacceptable behavior, especially when colored by partisanship.

I expect to hear how it's not the same, but people rarely think it is when it's their side doing it.

They will either do the right thing and have a legitimate trial or not. Time will tell.
What makes it legitimate? Seems whatever the majority agrees upon is the answer, at least that's how it appeared in the House proceedings. Trump may very well have deserved to be impeached, but the Dems pretty much set that up as a certainty IMO slanting the rules in their favor. Yet you call that legitimate. Now the Pubs get to set the rules and somehow that's not legitimate?

So...Trump is not impeached yet? Because impeachment isn't complete until the house turns it over to the senate.

Lol at DC.

Evangelicals yanking support?

"The evangelical magazine founded by the late Rev. Billy Graham published a surprising editorial Thursday calling for President Trump’s removal. The magazine, Christianity Today, has been critical of Trump but not politically outspoken during his administration.

The editorial, which appeared to draw so many readers that the magazine’s website crashed briefly, was written by editor in chief Mark Galli, who called Trump “a near perfect example of a human being who is morally lost and confused.

“Whether Mr. Trump should be removed from office by the Senate or by popular vote next election — that is a matter of prudential judgment,” the editorial said. “That he should be removed, we believe, is not a matter of partisan loyalties but loyalty to the Creator of the Ten Commandments.”

If she's breaking the law, let the courts decide.
Isn't that what people say about Trump's refusal to let people with first hand knowledge testify.
It's funny what people consider acceptable and unacceptable behavior, especially when colored by partisanship.
