The good side of Butch Jones

Just curious, would you publicly wish good luck to the company that just fired you and the person they hired to replace you?

If they had already paid me approximately $16-18mm the last 5 years with $8mm more to come the next 3?? Yeah, I believe I would.

Butch Jones tweeted out a nice condolence to the family of John Ward.

One thing I always liked about Jones, he was never shy about letting people know he was a man of faith.

He often wore a Bible verse on his wrist. I was proud of him for loving the Lord and being open about it.

That says 2017... Butch doesn’t care about UT and Ward at this point.

pismonque, AKA piss monkey, is a good screen name :hi:

Why, that's an old family name that goes all the way back to... me.

It's funny, I don't even remember the origin of it but I've used it so long I'm kinda stuck with it now. I think maybe back in the 80s I called one of my friends a piss monkey when he was acting all bent out of shape about something, then decided I liked it. In the early internet days it was the last name of an online alter-ego I used. Rupert L. Pismonque, I believe it was.

Hmmm note the date of July 22, 2017. This is not for John Ward's death!

Nice try, CBJ is a smuck! He's a bammer homer now so....

GTFO

Butch wasn't all bad. He tried to maintain control and teach the team to respect for authority, our laws and the police. He was just in over his head as far as winning a championship in the SEC.

Yes, because it's so heroic to wear a bible verse and say you're a Christian in a country such as America. Didn't Hugh Freeze say he was as a believer as well?

That was very classy. I don’t dislike Butch. I think he is a good man, just not a good coach. He gave it his all, just wasn’t good enough

How being a duplicitous person make you a good man? That's a character trait.

Tweet was sent out last year when John’s wife passed.

I thought the wording was odd.

Usually seems like thoughts and prayers are for and with the family of the deceased. Not the deceased himself.

So now it makes sense.

...and i dont have to remark on Butch's finer qualities, his big heart and class, while he wears a bama shirt and colludes with the enemy, shortly after leaving knoxville in a shape comparable to 1945 Berlin. Or maybe Hiroshima plus Nagasaki with a dismayed and Lemayed burnt out Tokyo as a backdrop.

Relieved.

yo everyone, really looking forward to this season. Making plans to come to one of the early games. Have been fighting cancer this year (for the second time). Have a lot to look forward too. I think Pruitt will be a great coach....what does everyone think the percentage of plays that will be called by Pruitt himself?
