In regards to our basketball team this year, the good news is that we will basically win any close game. The bad news is that if we can't keep it super close, then we seem to get completely blown out. Although we only have 5 losses, 4 of them were basically total blowouts, 2 of them to bad teams on the road.
We don't have the senior guard leaders, and explosive outside shooting to counter teams when they play with alot of emotion, aggression, and start getting "in the zone." (or when the refs are against us)
Remember how many huge shots Loften and Juwuan Smith would drill right after a huge shot from our opponents?? Unless Maze and Hopson are able to elevate their games and really hit big shots, we are gong to continue to struggle in these type of games, IMO.......
I do think that one possible solution would be to start Hall at center, and move Chism to 4, and go with a monster line-up, bc/ if our guards are not going to push the tempo and drill shots, then we should just play half-court and crush people in the paint.........any other thoughts? :hi:
