The Good: Fulmer and company are gone.
The Bad: About five years too late.
I've used the R.C. Slocum/Phil Fulmer analogy before. Both were alums of their respective schools and had tremendous sucess in their earlier years but dropped off later and got passes because of prior championships (multiple conference for R,C. and national for Fulmer). However, as the losses mounted, recruiting slumped.
Unfortunately, the new coach at UT will face the same problem as Coach Fran and Sherman faced at College Station.........except for one or two exceptional players (like Berry)........ an empty cupboard. For example, look at defensive tackle, especially if Dan Williams comes out early, we will have almost nothing.
I hope we can get some decent juco's, otherwise expect Kiffin to have tough time winning next year. Just as Bobby Petrino had at Arkansas this year.
