The Golf Thread

I refuse to take lessons from anybody that doesn't hit the ball better than I do. I've had maybe 2 lessons & they were from a guy named Robbie Biershenk, he was on The Big Break Indian Wells a while back. Talk about a dude that can clobber a ball. His brother Tommy finally got his card this year & if Robbie had his head on right he could've been better.

I took 3 lessons from the top guy here locally at fairways & greens. He ruined my game for that year. He's even made a couple of U.S. Open cuts as well, but he obviously doesn't have teaching talent. He tried to get me to play like him.

Byron at F&G fixed me in one hour and he's the cheapest guy there. He just analyzes your own swing and goes from there.

Some good players aren't good teachers but it's hard to believe somebody that can't play a lick can teach. There's a little old dumpy dude that works at Dick's & he goes around giving lessons. Never seen him hit a ball or swing a club. Carries his PGA teaching professional billboard around with him.

Tee one up with some gatorade attached and launch it to him

So my buddies house is on the 16th hole at the Arnold palmer private course here at PGA west. Sweet set up.

Pool, jacuzzi two 65 inch tvs.

As much as people hate USC, you have to befriend em out here cuz they always have the dopest set ups.

Went and played 18 this evening. For the first time in a long time everything feels like it's clicking. Mostly because those 8-10 footers are falling. Last two rounds, albeit at my home course, of 68 and 69 is something I'm dang proud of. Last few months have been a struggle/kicking/screaming/scrambling to a 75.

Going to jump in a few invitationals in the next few weeks.

Can't say I'm not jealous of those scores. This is the one game that I can't get under control or comfy. Everytime I shoot well, I follow with a bad round. Kindof a manufactured swing doesn't help. I was a straight away or opposite field hitter in baseball and could wait longer and flick my wrists at the last second. That old habit is bad for my game and leads to being late quite often.

I'm playing in my first tourney next weekend. Excited to see how I play. First tourney since high school over ten years ago.

There will be no spectators today at The AT&T National in D.C. Bad storms came through last night and knocked down dozens of trees. No power in the club house. Will be weird watching, and I'm sure playing, without spectators.

anybody know where i can get some good brand golf balls with the tennessee power T on it… (like pro V1's, Penta's, or even bridgestone) im mainly thinking penta would be easiest to find cause i know the UT golf team plays with those

Tiger will be the first person with 3 wins this year if he can win today. Now only if he can show up in the final 2 majors.

Think I may buy the 910 d2 driver, or the new GoLo Scotty
won $800 bucks last night playing in a poker tournament
