The Golf Thread

To each his own, but I think Miller sucks, I mute the TV when he is on, dude is the worst of the worst.

God I hate him too. He's the best golfer ever in his own mind & master of the golf swing. I get tired of hearing about a trap draw & pronated wrist. Loved it when Craig Parry made him eat his words.

when did this happen? I must have missed it .

Eat his words may have been the wrong wording. At Doral a few years ago Parry was lighting it up & all Miller wanted to talk about was his 20 handicap swing. Parry won the tournament & even holed his 2nd shot out on the first playoff hole for eagle.

I like Johnny Miller too

Jim Nantz and Johnny Miller are in two entirely different roles on the TV scene. Nantz is a lead announcer. Miller is a lead analyst. Miller and Faldo are in the same roles. Dan Hicks has the same role at NBC as Nantz does atCBS

agreed. one of the best.

I don't care for Tirico. Mainly because he doesn't know the game of golf very well and often mischaracterizes shots, situations, etc.. OF course that is MHO. I think Nantz is 1000 times better.

There is a reason why CBS is the best in the golf broadcast business

I don't think I've ever seen a public figure do as much of a 180 as Nick Faldo has in the past 5-10 years.

Kostis definitely has as good a handle on the golf swing as anybody. That super slow mo stuff they do on CBS is impressive.

I liked seeing him, do the stars on the 17th hole at Pebble..
Some of thier faces as he was analyzing thier swing was priceless

First time I'm not gonna get to the la open in abkht 5 years. Riviera is sweet.

Palm springs for a couple rounds this weekend.

Phil comes roaring out of the gate at Riviera with a 66 and the 1st round lead. I didn't get to watch yesterdays round, but evidently he was on top of his game.

Made it to the range today. I'm a freaking pro on the range. Not sure when I'll get in an actual round and tear up the fairways.
