I was told that's not uncommon in any pro/am tourney because of the ams spiking up the greens, esp right around the holes.

I don't care about how they look, they are the same cushion and sole design as my Nike Combat boots that I wear with my my uniform (and wore all over Afghaniland), only with cleats added. They are incredibly comfortable and give great balance. Add the stability of the cleats and I want a pair for the course. They're no worse than all the street shoes everyone is wearing these days.
