Ahh, no reason bpv. It mainly was because lg1 was throwing around advice and he barely breaks 100.

You a member somewhere? What do you typically shoot?

I am a member at a club and a public course here in Fayetteville, AR. I shoot OK, nothing to really talk about. I'd damn sure rather talk about golf than my own lousy game.

As to LG1 throwing around golf advice, you should simply view it as you do any of his posts - generally worthless and at times flat out retarded.

Cool! I played in the Southern Jr. one year at a course in that area. The Pinnacle? I think? Pretty nice track. I stunk up the joint, but it was an enjoyable experience. They took us to the Tyson chicken guy's house for a dinner the first night we were there, and Nolan Richardson spoke to us another night. He was actually very enjoyable to listen to.

Pinnacle is a bit of a goat ranch, but they now host a LPGA event there annually.

That Tyson guy was probably John Tyson, who has now built a private course here that puts all of the others to shame.

Really? It was only a couple of years old when I played it, but I thought it was alright. Did they let it go? Had some ginormous houses on it. I think Daly built in there when it first opened. Doubt he kept it.

Come to think of it, our girls team in college played that course in a tournament and I think they complained about it.

it's just a tricked up, gimmicky joint that isn't in very good shape IMO. I'm sure the tourney has helped in that regard.

JB Hunt developed the place to sell those ginormous houses and made a fortune in so doing. Daly did build in there. The cedar shake roof thing makes it look great, no doubt about it.

It's likely one of the top 10 courses up here, but I don't care for it and there are much better tracks here if you're looking for it.

i haven't seen that.

there was a whole show dedicated to him playing shirt and shoeless? i thought it was just the segment for the news.

the course/club looks pretty nice.

What is the name of the tournament the ladies play in?

I guess that is the case for a lot of courses. The ladies used to play the Sara Lee, which I'm not sure even exists anymore, at The Hermitage in Nashville before they moved to the Legends. I had free passes one day because of the tournament I was playing in, so I went and watched for a few hours. It was a totally different golf course. I had played The Hermitage several times before then and I have played it since then and I never imagined they could get it looking that good.

I have no idea the name of the tourney or the sponsor.

Good move to the Legends. That's a very good pair of courses.

I can't watch YouTube at work, but I don't think I have any idea what you all are talking about. Was it a Playing Lessons With the Pros episode?

no, it was a news segment promoting his new course in Missouri and Daly is playing without a shirt or shoes in the piece. he has jeans on too.

Depends on how often you play and where you are playing. The "average" is probably a little lower than that.

I pulled for Daly for a long time, but it appears he will never get it. He has become a joke to everyone, including some tour boys who used to call John a close friend. Hey, a lot of the tour guys have a drink or three and some may even toke a little, but it is where and when and how much John just doesn't get. Some of the Euros get wasted at tour stops, but they don't make fools of themselves. The day guys like Ernie Els, Darren Clarke and Rich Beem don't have a beer after their round will be the first, but when have you heard anything negative about their partying habits. NEVER.

Can't feel sorry for him anymore

I think many have heard about Clarke's partying. He wasn't hiding back about 10 years ago. He roomed with a friend of mine when they were freshmen at Wake. My buddy says Clarke was a beast back then, and otherworldly long, but changed up his swing to control it.

Isn't there some story about the coach telling Clarke to choose between partying and golf and Darren handed him the golf bag?
