The Fishing Thread

Can anyone give me any tips on catfishing at night?

I use about 1/8 of a hotdog, or a dip bait made by strike king. Also cut bait is great. As is chicken liver. You can even wrap panty hose around it to keep it on the hook. Catfish are my favorite fish to fish for.

Where you going?

Center Hill, Priest, not sure yet. Any good places around MTN?

The only one I caught last night, but it was worth the wait.

I fish for catfish alot in big ponds.

One great place is Marrow Bone lake. It's a TWRA lake just north of Nashville. Really good place for Channel, and big Blue cats. Also good for bass, and crappie.

Real men noodle for those catfish escapegoat.

Well April 14th tournament came and went. We ended up with 11.35 good for somewhere between 8-10th. Took 20 pounds to win that tournament. I need to find bigger fish or find someone's fish basket before they do. We got smoked.

we're going to Dale Hollow monday and I need info . I'm going to try hair jigs with real pork in about 30' but need info

Getting up at 5:30am tomorrow to go fishing for awhile. Can't think of anything better than being on the water before anybody else.

Rough time to be fishing. Stay deep from what I'm able to figure out. Totaled out at around 17lbs this Saturday on Tellico, kept them in the well for the day to get a total and released them.

Also, my Shimano reel finally met its maker, and I replaced it with a Fleuger President. 60 bucks and you can find it at Walmart, and it's a damn good reel.

Anyone know of a good spinning rod that won't run more than 50-60 bucks? I recently acquired a Pflueger President reel and am looking for something to stick it on. Thanks in advance.

Look at Cabela's Pro Guide series. The quality is great for the price.
