The Final Score is Different Without the Weather Delay

The lightning delay is an incredibly stupid rule anyways. People are more likely to get ran over in a parking lot or in a car crash on the way to the game than struck by lightning. C'mon.

If this is the case it should be mandatory that all stadiums upgrade to closed-roof stadiums within 2 years. God forbid it rains or snows. Someone might freeze to death in the stadium if we let a team play during snow, ya know.

Well this certainly explains a lot about you now.

The field announcer said that Pruitt spent the entire extended halftime coaching and making adjustments, while Holgerson settled his team down with food and watched some other games. I thought that was interesting.

From a psychological standpoint, the teams were sent two different messages. Holgerson's laid-back approach to the hour off said "We've got this, follow the plan through." Pruitt suffered from over-thinking and likely overloaded his players. Coaches can create confusion as much as they can calm down a team.

That I'm realistic? Getting struck and/or killed by lightning (that's over 8 miles away mind you) is incredibly rare. You're more likely to have a heart attack than die by lightning. You're more likely to die in car crash than by lightning strike. Etc.

None of that makes having a lightning rule stupid. Not even remotely.

Yes it does. We can't live life worrying about one of the rarest ways to die and making rules for something that is 99.999% unlikely to happen.

We sell beer at games. That should be outlawed too? What if someone had too much and gets in a car crash killing themselves and other people on their way home? That is a far more likely scenario to happen than being struck by lightning anywhere.

Show me a link stating that death by lightning at a football game is common. There have been more players severly injured to the point of not being able to play ever again or crippled for life. Should we just not allow people to even play football anymore? They might get hurt afterall.

Do we not play in the rain/snow/etc anymore? I get it if it was a hurricane. But lightning miles away makes very little sense.

Is this the "Smh, I give up because I have no valid response" gif? Or does he get struck by lightning in whatever movie/show he's from and it's meant as comical?
I highly recommend Breaking Bad. This character is in that series.

Sounds like a cop-out to me. But hey, some people aren't capable of intelligent discussions and that's ok too.

I agree; and if anyone fits that description, it's someone who proclams lightning rules are stupid.

Also since you obviously couldn't figure it out, that gif was proclaming I was shaking my head at you, aka smh.

Yeah if we didn't have the weather delay, we have more momentum. And if my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle. They had to deal with the weather delay too.

If you read all my posts / replies to you (rather than making assumptions and only hearing what you want to hear), you would have seen that I wrote "Is this the "Smh, I give up because I have no valid response" gif?" and came to the conclusion that I know what smh is.

You just pointed out that you didn't bother to read my responses but still wanted to shake your head at me without actually using your brain. I'm smh now..

I presented reasonable arguments about lightning rules and other rules and you can only shake your head? Clearly you are the one lacking an ability to have an adult discussion. I feel bad for ya honestly.

Because you didn't; you posted some questions that are on the same intellectual level of "If evolution is true, why are there still monkeys?"

Even the military has a rule similar. If it's within 5 miles (a strike) we stop training for 30 minute blocks and wait

Facts + Statistics: Mortality risk | III

In 2016 in the U.S. 33 people died by lightning strike. In comparison 40,000+ died in motor vehicle accidents. We are preparing for an *incredibly* rare occurrence. I mean if you're that worried about lightning you shouldn't drive a car, smoke a cigarette, play a sport, drink beer, etc.

I think evolution is true and my opinions were nothing of the sort (but this is not a place for evolution discussion anyways so I'm just gonna skip that).

I was open to discussion and if you had submitted links and/or evidence or even a compelling argument I would have accepted that.

I presented reasonable opinions and you proceeded to just shake your head or ignore anything I wrote. It's not really worth communicating with you because I don't think you'll read it since it's a differing view than yours, and that you will just reply with a half a$$ed remark anyways. I'm open to intelligent discussions even if they are against my opinions, but only if the other person(s) are actually trying to engage in an intellectual discussion. You clearly aren't here. Have a nice day anyways.

LOL, my lord, you still don't get it.

Why does the military have the same policy as the NCAA then? I mean according to you, they must both be stupid then right?

Why do you think you know more than the military on this then?

I never once even remotely claimed that. I praised our men and women wholeheartedly and you just try to come back with insults and lolz. It shows your immaturity.

A soldier is more likely to die in war *during a thunderstorm* by a bullet than by a random lightning strike. During training they're more likely to die by a car offroading over a cliff than by a lightning strike.

It's still preparing for a super incredibly miniscule chance of getting hit by lightning.

I sincerely hope you live in a place where it never storms. I can see you whimpering in a closet like a dog because of big scary thunder.
