Even then... he could actually believe he'd outrun Gray. He did come in fast... I don't know how fast he is now though. Hardesty was very fast in HS but was slowed by gaining weight and knee injuries.
All those times are without pads. Putting on the pads slows some down and others not so much. Jerry Rice was a 4.6 but no one EVER caught him from behindJalin Hyatt 4.31
Jimmy Holiday 4.38
Jaylen Wright 6.25, 55 meters
Kenney Solomon 4.45
Eric Gray 4.57
Jordan Mosely 4.58
Jabari Small 4.58
Keyshawn Lawrence 4.59
Alontae Taylor 4.60
Ramel Keyton 4.62

Was a RB at SHHS back in McClanahan days that was that big. Ran a 4.5. Dude was one of best tailbacks ive seen at Science Hill. Always wondered why he never got offers.Guys that can actually run a 4.50 accurately timed 40 yard sprint are not easily found. Guys that weigh over 200 pounds that can run a true accurately timed 4.50 are even fewer and farther between. We've had this discussion in other threads but running a 40 in an accurately timed 4.50 is blazing fast. Many high schools don't have one that can do it.
