The fact that Arch Manning is not even visiting UT...

Great. Just what they need. Another Stetson Bennett...
Oh dear lord, it was meant as a ironic statement. Typical VN FF. He doesn't visit and it's he sucks don't want him. Then the rest of you folks are he's a Manning, he's going to be awesome. He is going to either go to OM or if he wanders he will go to the best QB development school to get him to the next level.

Dude, it looks like he’s running a 5.5 40. That highlight sucks.

Now compare his highlights to all the other top rated ‘23 QB’s.

The only reason he’s rated so highly is the name on the back of his jersey.

How fast did Archie run the 40? Did they even time him in his day? I think Cooper must have been fast too since he was a WR. Other than those 2, I don’t think there’s a Manning fast gene.

Lol not impressed?

He's playing against a bunch of private school kids...Rich kids....Manning will be good but everyone here seems to think he is the 2nd coming of jesus...Watching that highlight cements what I said about him before, He can't run a lick....P.S. word is out he has eliminated UGA...Down to Texas and Alabubba...I am putting my money on Texas.

UT is not even a school that Arch Manning is considering...He is not even visiting UT. I think this shows where we are as a program.
Probably means Arch visited volnation.com and decided he wanted no part of the numerous Debbie Downer posters on the site. Really can’t blame the kid and it is his choice.

It's great to get a commit from a 5* QB, but the list of 4* and 5* QB's that fail to live up to expectations is really long: Guarantano was the #3 rated dual threat QB, 5* Blake Barnett at Bama. David Cornwell--#3 rated pro-style QB and the list goes on and on. The last 5* QB that "committed" to the Vols, Hunter Johnson, was a complete bust. Ty Simpson and Arch Manning may be great QB's. But, there's a good chance they won't pan out as projected. I predict Simpson will transfer from Bama by 2024.

I just took a look at the 1969 Ole Miss stats that was the infamous "Archie Who" sophomore season. For the season he had 14 rushing TDs, he averaged 4 ypc, had just over 500 rushing yards on the season. He had 9 TDs through the air but also was picked 9 times. My best recollection on Archie as a pro player especially with the Saints was running all over the field mostly trying to save his own life. The idea the Mannings cannot run seems very suspect, they can be effective, but Archie being the wisened old veteran of the gridiron he didn't want his progeny running around evading hits and to get the ball downfield through the air.

Peyton and Eli just couldn't run really, it wasn't in their arsenal, not much choice to it. I've seen Archie interviewed where he was laughing and saying fleetness of foot just skipped their generation. Archie could run like the wind.

They are 3 different people. Good lord.

Is your logic that we SHOULDN'T be hopeful that 4-5* QBs want to come to UT because some of them are busts?

So we should strive for 3* QBs and hope they get coached up?

I can't follow this logic at all. Seriously, what are you saying? Guess? Don't trust the ratings at all?

Recruit the highest rated QBs that fit our system, always. Get a damn O Line pipeline so a QB can work the Heupel system without running for his life.

Seriously this: "4 and 5* QBs bust you know, ignores several very successful highly rated QBs."
