The Erik Ainge Show returns

Not the same time. Only one hour overlap. Just listen to last hour of Swain on his podcast.

Btw, I like both guys as well. Swain is a little more balanced and willing to call it like it is IMO where Ainge is more of a homer, which he readily admits. Ainge is better at X's and O's though. I really enjoy listening to both of them.

I also like listening to Daniel Lewis in the afternoons on RTI. I agree with about 98% of what he says. He's fair but calls things as he sees it. Very knowledgeable and has good takes on things IMO.
I could do that.. Never really listened to RTI, gonna have to give it a shot, I know that show after swain is terrible.. Thanks for the advice though..

WNML 9-noon, M-F

Starts January 3rd

That takes an hour from Doc, Jeff, and Heather and shakes up the programming that follows them... News-Sentinel reporters I think.

I assume that this fits the forum since EA was a UT QB.

Progress is being made, but we still have to put up with 3 hours of D,J,and Heather and those jerks who proceed the 3 o’clock show. Ward was OK some days, but his sidekick may be the worst on radio. I think Ainge will do a good job. I may start listening again.

Where does Vince go?

Hopefully he'll produce and/or work the board for Erik, but I'd be surprised if he continues in that time slot. I wouldn't be shocked if he were to move to the earlier show. Radio is notorious for blowing out staff though... especially when there's out of town ownership.

Vince does baseball with Wilkerson, so I don't see him leaving the station.

Good for him, and at least he's on a creditable station too.

FINALLY! Best news I've heard all weekend! Seth and Swain still have my support! I'll just listen to them from 7:00 to 9:00 and then tune into Eric. Ill listen to the last hour of Seth and Swain on the podcast.

Question, for us internet listeners, is there an app we need to listen to Eric?

Swain is 7:00-10:00. Their shows will only overlap for an hour.

There are at least two. WNML has an app but I don't like it. It locks up and skips frequently because of the pop up ads and suggested downloads (it constantly launches the Apple App Store app). I've had much better luck with the iHeart Radio app and searching for WNML. They're blocked on the TuneIn Radio app.

I like his show until he starts acting childish. If he can get away from that, he will have a great show

Agreed. I couldn't listen to his show before with my kids in the car because of how crude he got at times. Hopefully someone will keep that at a minimum.

They aren't that bad and before any in this forum talks about any 3 of them it's Christmas. I have heard that Jeff is very sick so please keep him in your prayers.

Jeff, get well soon. Heather is annoying and I wish she was never allowed on radio again. Merry Christmas.

Wish them individual health. Wish them off the air. Or at least out of the morning slot.

Doc is unbearable.

If Ainges show is like the rest of the WnML it will be ruined by their inability to produce a show that has more on air time than commercial time.

WNML has one of the worst ran radio businesses in the country. They seem to cut corners on everything and the only answer is more advertising instead of smarter revenue generation strategies.

RTI has an app that is the best app I've downloaded for radio. They have a text box for questions. If you miss the show you can download the podcast. Just really well done

I listen to RockyTop Insider on their app. 4-6pm eastern. Daniel Lewis is the mainstay and is outstanding IMO. Patrick Brown of The Chattanooga FreePress joins him 3-4 times a week. I highly recommend.

Cumulus is buried in debt from station acquisitions. They may not survive short of a reorganization that wipes out all of the equity and ownership is transferred to the bond holders.

I don't think you guys are going to like him as much on state run radio. He wont have the same unbiased opinion he had before, he's going to be so far up UT's a$$. I just hope he doesn't fill his show talking golf and womens basketball.

I like Swain a lot but he tries way too hard to play it safe and be UT pc. I still listen regularly, though.

What do you think Ainge is going to be now? How do you think he got that job? WMNL is a mouth piece for the UTAD, remember all those 2 minute appearances he had on the CBJ show? Do you think he will be anything but UT PC?

For those complaining about Eric's crude humor. You have to remember that a LOT of that was perpetuated by his co-host JayBay. If Eric is hosting by himself, I doubt it will be as bad as he won't have anyone to play off of. I like Eric mostly for how great he is able to break things down. He has a true gift in being able to do that to make the average joe understand things.
