The drive-by post game handshake

I think CLK should have been a bit more cordial.

I can understand 100% that sort of hand shake for a conference rival - one that you're constantly battling on and off the field.

The spirit of a Bowl is a bit different. I think a brief, but sincere shake and kind word is appropriate.

WTF...I just rewatched the handshake on the TV and it looked the same as he always does...of course the Fulmerites always come out after the losses and down the Coach. If we won and he done that same thing no one would have said a word. He shook his hand, said good job, and kept going...how is that different from any other handshakes he's done this year?

I wasted good money going down there. I stayed through the entire game wanted to cry. I don't mind losing just not like that.

It's not like he locked Beamer in a closet for three hours. This is some silly stuff.

If Meyer or Saban had done the same thing we would all be giving them crap. Was it a snub of Beamer? Not likely. What it lacking in class and sportsmanship? Without a doubt. Not one of CLK's better moments and I can't imagine that Monte would have responded the same way.

Realism not welcome here.....

Thanks for the link I had turned it off before that. Man, that really looks bad and yet another embarassing moment by Boy Wonder. I'm tired of hearing a billion excuses for this moron our moronic AD made rich to pose as a coach for a couple years.

Another brilliant post by one of the endless hit and run newbies that seem to come crawling out of the woodwork once any sort of adversity shows its ugly head. The IQ needle plunges once these geniuses come on the scene to vent their wisdom.

That handshake was no quicker than the ones exchanged with Spurrier or Meyer or Brooks. The only handshake I saw Kiffin give where I thought he was actually talking to someone was Hootie.

This seems like...quite a strange thing to be moaning about.

I didn't see it but ask:
Why are people surprised by this?

Name one coach under 60 years old that is not a bit of a jerk. These guys want to win when they don't it is pretty difficult for them to make nice.

He might have been a little peeved because VTech had been hitting Crompton late all night and the refs not calling it.

Yep, the refs are at it again. :post-4-1090547912:

You guys embarrassed the conference last night and made VTech look a lot better than they are. :dunno::dunno:

We got our butts kicked all over the field. He probably was and should be very upset and ashamed, that we were not more prepared to play that football game lastnight. Label me a "negavol" or whatever it is you guys call it, but this game was a HUGE let down. VT is the better team ,but they are not 3 TD's better than we are. I really hope this doesn't hurt us in recruiting. If we had won i think it would have helped treamendously!

GO VOLS!!!!!

he was probably a bit disgusted about the game. cameras waiting on Beamer. Trophy presentation about to happen. I don't think it was as much disrespect, as he just wanted to get off that field.

Exactly. When has Kiffin ever acted chummy with an opposing coach after a game? I don't expect him to. He is here to win games, not make friends and he has told us this.

Why would anyone defend these actions with comments like "yeah they could have coffee at mid field"? How stupid, to think that taking 5 seconds to act like a gentleman and a sportsman is to much to expect is assinine. Spurrier acting just like that is exactly why so many people in Fl hated he and the Gators. Bobby Bowden is a great example of how you can be a real winner and a gentleman and an example to the team. Recruiting, Kifin just shot himself in the foot with a LOT of possible signers, many of them have parents who seeing this will opt for their kid to go elsewhere

...I was standing right there......Frank called out Lane.....said something to the effect that his players must have been listening to their 'fat girlfriends' this week rather than the coaches.

I don't think Kiffins response was any different than Beamers. "Pot calling the Kettle Black." jmho:hi:
